Old Magazine Ad - Hackernet.

I cannot remember what magazine it was from - but I do remember it being around 1985-1986 because it was about the same time that Queensryche came out with the album Rage for Order....

It might have been Computer Gaming Monthly.. or Computer Gamer... At the time it was mostly filled with atari/commodore stuff, but I think some other consoles had begun to trickle out by that time.

Anyway.. It was a full page ad - white background, black text - at the top it said "Hackernet", and then had a page of text underneath discussing a new group for hackers and telecom explorers to get together and form a community. There was a form at the bottom, and a PO BOX to send your info to.

I am pretty sure that at the time on the BBS's I was on that everyone said it was a trap set up by the authorities.. As far as I know this was never proven or disproved.. I sent my info in and never heard another thing about it.

I would sell my left .. Well, you know what I'm saying.. To have a copy of that Ad.. Does anyone remember it?
