Writing Floppies with SIO2PC?

Recommended Posts

I know about the 10502pc, but i was wondering if it was possible to write to a blank floppy using my 800, SIO2PC and Indus GT drive? Could i make the GT drive number 2 and have the 800 think that it is just writing a backup from one drive to another?

Thanks in advance :)

There is a 4 switch DIP module on the back panel, 2 of which allow setting 1 of 4 drive ID #s. 1 of the remaining switches sets the default density when powered up an the last is unused.

yes, would work fine, the 800 would think it is reading from one drive, and writing to another...

The following webpage has the users manual for the Indus GT, plus links for downloading the software that originally came with it.
