yuppicide #1 Posted April 11, 2011 This is a fantastic game. Your goal is to survive for 30 seconds. Level 1 starts you out on ice that melts away. Level 2 has ground that disappears below you. I haven't played much further, but I came here to post. The game could be drawn in playfield pixels. http://armorgames.com/play/10450/island-survival

+Random Terrain #3 Posted April 11, 2011 How the heck do you get the game to start up? You have to move the little guy to where you want to start and have him drop down into the game.
yuppicide #4 Posted April 11, 2011 Click your mouse in game, so it's active. Use keyboard arrows and follow the arrow to the right where it says "PLAY" then drop down into first level. SeaGtGruff #5 Posted April 12, 2011 Click your mouse in game, so it's active. Use keyboard arrows and follow the arrow to the right where it says "PLAY" then drop down into first level. Except I tried that-- clicked and clicked all over. Nowhere does the mouse pointer change to indicate a clickable area (except the links to the supposed producers of the game-- but when you go there and search their site for the game it doesn't exist???). No matter how much I click, when I press an arrow (cursor) key it just scrolls the web page up, down, left, or right. It's like whatever scripting language this is written in isn't working-- except I can right-click on it, choose an option (like "rewind" or "play") and bam it says game over or something. Am I the only person it doesn't work for? Michael
yuppicide #6 Posted April 12, 2011 It's flash. You only need to left click in the game window to make it the focus. Once that happens you can use the arrow keys to scroll your little character.
+Random Terrain #7 Posted April 12, 2011 If you can't play it, you can at least look at it. Here's a video with a couple of loud doofuses playing it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJK3MjCxYT4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJK3MjCxYT4&rel=0&fmt=35&showinfo=
abaudrand #8 Posted April 12, 2011 I must say that the gameplay is very original. Anyone for a conversion?
dwane413 #9 Posted April 12, 2011 I watched a minute of the YouTube video and this game kind of reminded me of Save Mary, except you're the one doing the jumping around looking for higher ground.
+atari2600land #10 Posted April 12, 2011 I attempted something, but I can't get the player1color to work right. Must be because I used something in this thread and I don't know how to undo it. youcantwin.bas youcantwin.bas.bin
+atari2600land #11 Posted April 12, 2011 OK, I got player1's colors working again. Here's a better version. In this one, after 30 seconds, it reboots and you start over again. I think this one's harder than the last version I posted. youcantwin2.bas.bin youcantwin2.bas
SeaGtGruff #12 Posted April 13, 2011 It's flash. You only need to left click in the game window to make it the focus. Once that happens you can use the arrow keys to scroll your little character. It did finally work for me. I don't know why it didn't work when I tried it the night before, unless clicking on it more than once takes the focus back off the game. HatefulGravey #13 Posted April 13, 2011 I have to start learning to program right now! Pretty neat game, and very nice conversion in such short time.
yuppicide #14 Posted April 13, 2011 This game looks quite doable also.. it's a game where your space bar is the key: http://armorgames.com/play/10912/space-is-key
