+CyranoJ
The Atari Jaguar developers Reboot of JagWare have today announced the release of Downfall, a freely available game for the Atari Jaguar game console. The game was released at the AC 2011 party in France this weekend. Downfall is inspired by the games Spike Goes Down (Vectrex) and Man Goes Down (Atari 2600), both created by Alex Herbert. The object of Downfall is to guide your character through a never-ending chasm on a series of platforms, carefully avoiding rising above or dropping below the viewable area of the screen. Reboot have released the game free for download in ROM, BJL, and CDI format. The source code to the game is also freely available to download from the Downfall website. We hope you all have as much fun with it as we have had making it. PRESS THE BUTTON!
+CyranoJ
Just a quick note - to play this in Virtual Jaguar download the .ROM version and rename it .JAG. Our ROM version has the Universal header on it to make it bootable on real flash carts.
+Sauron
Another quick note to add here: The game doesn't work in the latest version of Project Tempest (0.95), but may work in PT 0.5. Our apologies in advance.

Jag_Slave
Hey, I have no way of making a cd, or using an emulator. Because I own a Mac, and no emulators work, and the cd burning programs suck for it... ANYWAY- do you have videos of this? Or screen shots?
+Sauron
Hey, I have no way of making a cd, or using an emulator. Because I own a Mac, and no emulators work, and the cd burning programs suck for it... ANYWAY- do you have videos of this? Or screen shots? No videos or screenshots to put up at the moment. Both of those should be coming soon, though. You don't have Windows installed in a dual-boot config on your Mac?
Austin
Anyone having any luck getting it to run in Virtual Jaguar? I renamed the ROM but get a blank screen... Nothing happens after.
+CyranoJ
Hi Austin. Turn the BIOS emulation on so it boots thru the spinning cube.
Austin
Hi Austin. Turn the BIOS emulation on so it boots thru the spinning cube. I think I tried that, but I'll double-check when I get home from work tonight.

+Sauron
9241 I think I would've contributed more code to this release if I hadn't spent most of my waking hours playing the newest builds.

CD-i
I did a short video introduction. Sorry about some German babbling and shitty quality, but the 60fps give my mobile camera some huge headache http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhvlsKgwds8
