+therealbountybob
Love Joust! Great game. I mean come on, who wouldn't want to fly around on an ostrich and kill people then collect their eggs! Tiz Easter an' all! Any who here's my score 70 400. Welcome centiqueen81 hmm, that's not a bad idea... I'm adding into the mix Super Bunny and Space Eggs as bonus games... will update post #1 later folks scoring for each will be 4 for 1st, 3 for 2nd-5th, 2 for 6th-9th and 1pt for 10th+. Space eggs supports paddles too so that's good
Deteacher
I've got 2 pics to present: 1. Joust Expert Score: 131,050! 2. I tried playing on the Altirra emulator and I noticed that the birds come in from the left side past the left boundary of the screen. It doesn't seem to affect the gameplay, but it is a little strange. It does throw off my timing a little, but that's about it. Anyone else notice this in Altirra? I've used Atari800Win forever, but it's a pain to go into the system, shut down explorer.exe so the colors will work right with Win7. So, I decided to try Altirra. a8isa1
... 2. It doesn't seem to affect the gameplay, but it is a little strange. It does throw off my timing a little, but that's about it. ... This is how they appear on a real A8 unless your monitor/TV overscans too much. If a TV/monitor overscans by too much then none of the border region is visible. If there is 0% overscan or if it underscans you will see a tiny bit of the border region or a larger amount, respectively. The birds appear in the border region from both sides of the screen. [edit] My mistake. They don't appear in the right border only in the left, as you described. Edited April 22, 2011 by a8isa1
+therealbountybob
What no egg based puns? I'll get things cracking Super Bunny is a bit darn tricky, once you power up kill all the baddies to complete the level you don't have to get back to the left hand side. I managed 850 (round 2) but the scoreboard on my copy has a top score of 5454, will look for another copy so I can get a proper screen shot. Reset saves scores. Joust I did good, I thought the game had too many extra men but think it's about right, crushed my p.b. on skilled 850,850 Space Eggs 1005 but more to come there! beamer320i
Slight improvement for me on Joust (Skilled) - 177,150 and (very) slight improvement on Superbunny - 605 Still can't beat my best on Space Eggs yet... I really like Joust but hate watching myself totally go to pieces when the Pterydactyl(sp) turns up, managed to kill him once completely by accident by going head to head, tried to replicate the move and fail every time! I really like Joust but hate watching myself totally go to pieces when the Pterydactyl(sp) turns up, managed to kill him once completely by accident by going head to head, tried to replicate the move and fail every time! Hey :!: I saw it, egg based pun Joust tips (not for detacher or doctorclu who I am sure is lurking in the coop)... position yourself above the gap (left or right) so you can fall down onto birds. Use this to avoid pterry. Make use of the undersides of platforms to quickly change direction/land by flapping into them. Lure birds to your height; get them to go under the platforms then drop on them when they emerge. Don't wait at the top of the screen. Bounce off the top of the screen to power down on them (even when they're at the top). The greys and esp the blues will go for you so watch for them flaping as they are under you and flap a bit more to stay above them for the kill. Never loiter under plaforms. Build up eggstra men for the pterry waves and just survive them, kill pterry if you have a fair chance or no way of avoiding him. Make sure you kill birds as soon as a wave starts, keep on top of things. Always face your opponents! There we should have 200K from everyone before Sunday c'mon rr you can do it p.s. Super Bunny tip, you can also get the carrot when it's in the lower (third) position (in the tree?)

Fres
400 on Super Bunny, 765 on Space Eggs. The Super Bunny I have is in gr.8, with color thru artifacting. That the only one? Maybe Sirius was a US shop ... I took a shot at Joust (expert) too, but can't remember my score (I know it was lower than the two that have already been posted). I'll give it another go before the deadline since I need to do everything I can to catch up with Orph and a8isa1.

+therealbountybob
When does the next batch of games go up for voting? Psuedo Democracy is temporarily suspended Finally geting somewhere up the scoreboard on Super Bunny, got to the thrid round 2,925! A couple of tips are on level 1 try and work your way to get the left baddies as when you snuff it you'll be back on the right. If the timer is low don't set off again but jump back 1 row and loiter so you can get the carrot again. On round 2 you need to kill the big creatures last. See screenshots below for round3 and what happended when I accidntally pressed pause when jumping, them rabbits are at it like erm rabbits Space Eggs; no improved score, keyboard mode (L=+ R=* Fire=space) is not good as you can't fire and move so play on joystick (or paddle) mode, even on an emulator. Maybe shoot the end eggs and concentrate on killing what spawns instead of releasing too many baddies. Joust Expert 156,650 (well some combination of 5s and 6s!)
