Anyone tried Burger Time on the 7800?

I just bought a Burger Time 2600 cart and tried to play it on my 7800. It was frozen, however when I played with the difficulty switches, suddenly the enemies moved and the background music played, but when I played with the difficulty switches further, things 'slowed down.'

 

Anyone know if Burger Time is a fickle cart for the 2600? Or perhaps is it just my copy.

2600 Burgertime is dead slow. Awful conversion IMO. Here's a link to the manual, which has the switch positions:

According to the manual for BurgerTime, they used the difficulty switches to implement a "pause" feature and to determine the number of players.

I got it working on the 7800, but It gets very little play time due to it paleing in comparison to Beef Drop 7800 and other versions of Burgertime.

Nothing wrong with having it in your collection, but as has been mentioned; Beef Drop just straight kicks it's ass. Definitely one of the best "homebrew-arcade conversions" ever made! If you have a 7800, and don't have this game, you are missing out!!

Totally vouch for that - the 7800 homebrews rock and beef drop is simply top of my list. Did you know the author created a version using Action! on the A8

Sounds good - where can I track down a Beef Drop? Ebay I imagine? Anyway, I would like to find a 2600 and try out the BurgerTime cart that I do have. The 'pause' function works just fine, but I just can't make the character move up or down. Pepper button works fine...I imagined that BurgerTime might have had difficulties on the 7800 the way Kool-Aid man had trouble on the 2600 Jr. and such, but it doesn't look like anyone else is having issue but me!
