HatefulGravey #1 Posted April 20, 2011 I have no idea what they are, they were with a bunch of games for other systems and the guy didn't ask for much for them so I took a shot. So, what are they?
+thegoldenband #2 Posted April 20, 2011 Those are games for the Philips Videopac, which is the European version of the Odyssey^2. All of those titles were released stateside under different names and are common in their US versions. The Odyssey^2 FAQ textfile says that #34, Satellite Attack aka U.F.O., is "extremely rare", but that seems suspicious to me.
0078265317 #3 Posted April 20, 2011 I don't know but it says philips videopac. After googling philips videopac looks like there were several models. Here is one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philips_Videopac_%2B_G7400
Mirage #4 Posted April 20, 2011 Yeah, and very cool box art!
+thegoldenband #5 Posted April 20, 2011 This chart seems to confirm that Satellite Attack is anything but rare. Oddly enough, the two sports games appear to be the rarest of the bunch, at least on this particular chart.
HatefulGravey #6 Posted April 20, 2011 I did some looking after my post, but I was sure that there were people that had better answers then I could find in the same time on my own. I don't think I'll be getting anything to plug these into anytime soon. More research is needed to figure out what I'll do with em. I might see about trading em or something. Hell I don't know, like the other thread I guess I'm "buy curious". Just couldn't leave them there, I had to know what they were.
PsychoKittyNet #7 Posted April 20, 2011 Regardless of rarity, it's a cool and unusual find.
BassGuitari #8 Posted April 20, 2011 Is that Joe Namath and Bart Starr on the cover of "American Football?"
DickNixonArisen #9 Posted April 20, 2011 rarity is funny. I mean sure those titles might not be rare compared to each other, but obviously any given "videopac" is deeply and majestically rare compared to any given R5 2600 cart, at least here
HatefulGravey #10 Posted April 20, 2011 Is that Joe Namath and Bart Starr on the cover of "American Football?" I don't know, but when I get home tonight I'll look closer and see if I can figure it out. If I can't figure it out I'll scan the cover art and let you try too.
