How much to pay for MR. DO'S CASTLE?

Recommended Posts

How much loose?

How much Mint in box?

As little as possible. ;)

$20 to $25 loose with good condition label

$100 to $125 CIB

Mint sealed with shrinkwrap? I would say $150 would be a good deal. I haven't seen many boxed Mr. Do's Castle.

Murph, is your CIB copy the 2 piece lift top box? Just curious. I have the 2 piece box, this is one of about 55 ColecoVision CIBs I have in my collection.

100 - 125 for CIB Mr Do's Castle would be an awesome deal. These have been going around $200 on ebay, sometimes more sometimes less.

Along the lines of what ColecoDan said. If you want to collect a complete CIB ColecoVision collection, plan on spending a small fortune. This is unless you get lucky, and/or your patient and wait for good deals.

You are absolutely correct but sometimes you do get lucky, Congo Bongo CIB is hard to find and I got it for $40 I guess everyone must have got one when I wasn't collecting not sure why I was able to get it for so low. :)

I have definitely paid a small fortune though to get where I am which is only like 7 very hard to find CIB left and 8 probably never going to see CIB.

EDIT - Oops, didn't realize you were talking about the CV version. Nevermind. :dunce:

Thanks a lot for all the responses. One more question:

Which version of Mr. Do's Castle is better: the Colecovision, or the Atari 5200 version?

There is youtube footage of the Atari 8-bit computer version. I am assuming this is exactly the same as the Atari 5200 version, yes?

SADLY, there is no footage of Mr. Do's castle for Colecovision on YouTube.

Which version wins?

I would say after watching the 8-bit Atari Video on Youtube that the ColecoVision version looks better. Mr. Do's Castle is a really great ColecoVision title and the graphics are pretty impressive.

Have you guys seen the following website - I have no idea how accurate it is and/or if it si still updated.

http://www.raritygui...vision_view.php

I used to use this site to judge, the prices for the CIB are pretty out dated on a lot of them but the loose dollar amounts are not too bad and the rarity meater on them isn't too bad.

Since 2 years ago when I found this site I don't think I have noticed any change though so I believe it is not updated anymore.

I found that back before I joined AtariAge. I think the prices are way off. Most of the CIB prices are too low, some are too high. I'll take 3 Jungle Hunt CIBs and 3 Spy Hunter CIBs for the prices he has listed.

Yes, Yurkie-- both of mine are 2 piece. :)

I really like the 2 piece boxes. I need Montezuma's Revenge, Tutankhamen, Gyruss, Qbert Qubes and Frogger II and I will have all the Parker Bros, in 2 piece boxes. I got my Mr. Do's Castle in a trade. I am not interested in having the both top open and the 2 piece. I really like the 2 piece box, aside from the Chrome looking SpectaVideo boxes, the Parker Brothers are my favorite ColecoVision game boxes.

Is Frogger II available in a 2 piece box?

There is a one piece box unopened on Ebay right now, but I have never seen the 2 piece box for this title.

$20-25 for Mr. Do loose? Really? I thought it was quite common. I just picked up Mr. Do, Venture, and Lady Bug for $8, all loose.

Apparently I skipped right over the CASTLE in the title. D'oh!

Yeah but Mr Do, Venture and Lady Bug are pretty common titles ;)

Mr Do's Castle is clearly not a common title (even loose)

Loose, expect to pay around 20$ - 25$

CIB, expect to pay around 90$ - 120$
