Neo Geo AES with two controllers and Fatal Fury 2 for sale.

Recommended Posts

I am currently selling my Neo Geo AES and was wondering what people would be willing to pay for it. It is a Japanese model, Pow-3. Is not in box, comes with Fatal Fury 2 American with the bid dog logo on the side. Comes with 2 of the original large controllers on one the d button seems to be going out, and a memory card. The only thing is the Power Supply is touchy, sometimes is works some days it does not want to work after you let it warm up abit. So if I were to sell it the buyer would need to buy a new power supply. There is a seller on eBay from the US that sells replacement power supplies for it. Or at the Neo Store located in Tennessee. Here is the listing http://www.neostore....e-AES-p/595.htm cost about 25 from there plus shipping. It uses a 9volt supply or Pow-3 as it says on the bottom of the system. Game has its case, Fatal Fury 2 looks almost brand-new and includes the manual. Early American version with the dog on the top spine edge. The second controller the fourth button sometimes does not seem to want to work on King of Fighters. So worst case would be that the second controller only has 3 buttons(I use heavy kick a lot and might have worn it out) Memory card is in good shape and the console does have a few light scratches on the top if you look at it the right way. Also the tops of the balls on the controllers are starting to show stress marks, they are not cracked just where the shaft attaches to the ball. If you are interested make me a offer and let me know. I am pretty sure it is the power supply seeing as when ever it stops working is when the AC adopter gets warm to hot. Not the best in electronic repairs. All offer will be considered though currently someone is extremely interested just to let people know they might not be the only ones interested. I am currently at college and it is at my parents house.

Still accepting offers.

EDIT: Here are the pictures, if this link does not work I also put one in my latest comment.

EDIT: Also willing to do a partial or full trade for a PC

engine lot or a TurboDuo/Duo-R with games.

:)

Why is so uncommon to see prices in this forum? Unless I'm missing it, how much are you asking?

what are you offering for it. The last person offered 160 which I feel is the lowest I would go, would prefer a little higher. The person before that offered 250 but had some things come up and could not afford it right now. Just to give you and idea of what people have offered before.

hey i don't usually frequent these boards, but i came here to sell my jaguar cd unit which sold yesterday, and saw this for sale.

Normally I reside over at neo-geo.com forums in the arcade section. I see you have no takers here, you might have much better luck over in the neo-geo selling forums. I would consider this myself if i had any money disposable income, and if i wanted to get into AES. I'm broke and don't want to leave MVS. Good luck with the sale though, and maybe i'll catch you over there. I'm sure you'll get very quick response/sale if you post up the serial number with it too as most AES dudes love low sn's.

This is a really nice forum here too, i wish i was into atari stuff more at this time but maybe in the future.

good luck with the sale, all the best

i agree. You'll have tons better luck. I was actually just about to say the same thing, until I read this comment. I'm actually kinda shocked it hasn't sold yet. The only thing that'll suck, is you won't be able to post this on the neo-geo.com/forum until you either hit 50 posts or 30 days as a member. But if you're a collector/gamer like us, it's another great forum to be a part of. It was actually the first one I joined before I hit this one and NintendoAge up.

It would be mine if not for cars having to be replaced. They just never last as long as an Atari 2600.

I was wondering I have gotten an offer for 115 dollars plus a TurboGrafx-16. "What he can do is give you a good deal on a Turbografx which might make it easier. Say I offered a TG-16 with two controllers and a Turbotap and a custom composite and stereo cable (no crappy RF cable) for like $30? I could also add Bonk's Revenge (complete in box) for $10 which sells for $20 to $45 on ebay easily. And then Bonk 1 (loose) for $5 which is at least 1/2 off.

So $45 for the TG-16, two controllers, turbo tap, Bonk 1 loose, Bonk 2 complete and the AV cable"

Is that a good offer.

It's a pretty good deal, but you probably don't want to get into TG-16. The library is limited and the Turbo CD is difficult to find (especially without a TG-16 already included) and has reliability problems.

Doesn't seem to be a good time to sell a Neo huh? Seems there's more than a few people who say they'd buy it if the stars were aligned properly (including myself). I was too impatient to get an AES at a decent price (as in less than $200 - $250), so I dove into the MVS instead. Maybe it was the better choice after all. You can't beat having Metal Slug 3 as one of your starter games. :D

Kinda weird seeing my PMs posted here :-/ I guess PM stands for "Public Message" LOL

Any of you guys have an idea why this Neo-Geo system would only work once the PSU warms up? I'm concerned that it might not just be a power supply issue. That would be great since that's an easy fix, but I sure as heck won't be tearing apart a Neo like I would my Atari 2600s :-)

Yes, game library is limited with a TG-16, but even though I may pick up a Turbo Duo myself, I'm still keeping the American model of the TG-16. Just doesn't seem right to only have the import system :-) I personally picked up a flash cartridge for mine. Haven't used it yet, and it's not ideal, but it has its advantages :-)

7800Fan, just let me know. If you don't feel comfortable with the deal, don't go for it. I'm not going to push you into anything. I'll hold off for a nice deal if I need to. God knows I have enough games to play already :-/

I am interested. Just trying to decide if I need another console or if I should get more games for the systems I have like my Dreamcast.

7800fan: get the tg16. it's a fun system and has some classic must play titles.

yoder: Thats a question for the guys on neo-geo.com/forums. Those guys could tell you exactly what the issue is, and I'm sure someone may be able to fix it for you at a good price.

Thanks for the advice, that is the route I am leaning towards, no offers from Neo-Geo.com yet.

Are there any other kinds of systems A7800fan would want to trade for? :D

What did you have in mind, always open to ideas.

I should probably also mention that it worked fine for the first few months I had it after I got it from Japan then started to act up a few months ago.

My offer is being withdrawn. From this thread and from the pm's i've personally sent, you have at least two offers your considering and you will also "let me know soon", meanwhile you are still posting for more offers - and you are now posting on neo and racket, not proper etiquette to string out fellow gamers and traders like that. Do like everyone else, either accept/decline/or counter, not the way your going about it - poor show. So, yes, my offer is officially withdrawn and frankly i'm a little upset I held items back from my trade thread as you are not in fact "considering" the trade, you are outwardly pitting offers against each other.

sorry about that, was going to send a email today to let you know that I had decide not to go with your offer. I am just trying to get as many offers as I can. I am keeping a list of who offered when and going down the list if first person says no then I go to the next list. I usually let people know if there is someone ahead of them on the list and that the item is pending. I must have forgot to mention that, I apologize for the mess up and hope you have a nice day.

I currently have one person interested in it and the system is pending, not sold of course just on hold. Still setting the last items in stone like price and shipping, people can still make offers of course, just can't guarantee if the first offer will work out or not.
