Punisher5.0 #1 Posted May 1, 2011 I've been playing the the hell out of Superburnout for Jaguar and Road Rash 3 and it made me think about the SNES. Any good road bike games for it? I'd be open to other different kind of racers as well. Right now I have Dirt Trax and Stunt Trax. I still need to get Mario Kart.
retrogamesuk #2 Posted May 1, 2011 F-zero is quite good
0078265317 #3 Posted May 1, 2011 Yes I have f-zero also. Good game.
Reaperman #4 Posted May 1, 2011 (edited) If you like overhead racers, Super Drift Out (inexpensive import) is *really* worth checking out. It's one of those crazy games that turns the scenery instead of your car. First couple races are vomit-inducing, but after that it's just great. Includes licensed cars and a track editor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raPi_y757GA Edited May 1, 2011 by Reaperman
Impaler_26 #5 Posted May 1, 2011 (edited) Rock'n'Roll Racing, Top Gear 2 and Street Racer are good. EDIT: Just remembered a few more: Kawasaki Superbike Challenge was quite good as well as Power Drive (you may already know the Jaguar sequel Power Drive Rally). Also check out videos on YouTube like this one e.g. : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ww8KISTxtRM Edited May 1, 2011 by Impaler_26
BassGuitari #6 Posted May 1, 2011 F-zero is quite good This. And Super Mario Kart.

+wood_jl #10 Posted May 1, 2011 I liked Uniracers (2D), Stunt Race FX (3D), and Dirt Trax FX (3D). Warning: The frame rates are so slow in the 3D ones that you'll be tempted to think they suck, relative to newer games (for quite a number of years, too). However, they were fun in the day. I had a lot of fun with Dirt Trax FX, but that was before PS1-and-up, of course.

Punisher5.0 #12 Posted May 2, 2011 Thanks for all the recommendations. I forgot to mention that I already have F-Zero. Rock'n'roll racing, Top Gear series, and Street Racer look like what I'm after.
Austin #13 Posted May 2, 2011 I personally like the first Top Gear far more than the sequel. Uniracers is another one. It's not racing in the traditional sense though... Regardless, it's downright awesome.
Karyyk #14 Posted May 2, 2011 "Rock and Roll Racing" was awarded best driving game of 1993 by EGM. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_n%27_Roll_Racing Wow. A friend of mine swears by Rock and Roll racing and I've always just discounted him. I guess I need to listen from now on...
eseles #15 Posted May 2, 2011 Was Road Rash on the SNES? Or just the Mega Drive? That was a lot of fun...
Punisher5.0 #16 Posted May 2, 2011 Was Road Rash on the SNES? Or just the Mega Drive? That was a lot of fun... Unfortunately the Road Rash sereis was not on the SNES. I wonder what it would have been like with better sound and graphics. Road Rash 3D was alright but nearly as cool as the original three.
keilbaca #17 Posted May 2, 2011 I personally like the first Top Gear far more than the sequel. I do too, its my favorite SNES racer by far. A close second is F-Zero, third being Rock n Roll Racing.
fdurso224 #18 Posted May 2, 2011 Hi guys, F-Zero, Uniracers, Super Mario Kart, are a few! Anthony....

atarilovesyou #20 Posted May 24, 2011 I liked Nigel Mansell's Racing way back when, but it was DIFFICULT...crazy hard, like a SNES version of Gran Turismo, I figure. But it was good.

Ryanw #23 Posted May 24, 2011 I might be the only person that liked this game but... Al Unser Jr's Road to the Top.

Austin #25 Posted May 25, 2011 Asides from many of the ones mentioned, I think I remember enjoying Kyle Petty's No Fear Racing. I could have just been really bored as a kid, but I'm pretty sure I liked it. IIRC, it was arcade-style and had turbos or nitros like in other games from the time. It might even have a track editor too.
