Rybags #1 Posted May 3, 2011 Some real interesting music in this game. Filtered, and digital voices, nice pan flutes especially on the game over part. Aliasing distortion is evident in parts but overall the effect is pretty good. Very unusual music, without the video you might be hard pressed saying it's an Atari 8-bit doing the work. Also, somewhat ahead of it's time (1993). Probably best to download and run the game in Altirra or on the real hardware. Altirra turbo mode comes in handy in skipping parts. There's a few different music pieces - intro, in game, game over (possibly the best of the lot). The game itself is somewhat frustrating at the least, grab the executable here: http://atari.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=1916 And a YT video...

emkay #3 Posted May 3, 2011 Funny, the game has been done in 1993 . So I thought, people know it The title is interesting. For the year of development, very impressive. But the black lines were not funny. Remember, we have Gr. 7 for this. And the filter sounds "/" not "|" , if you know what I mean At least it shows, HOW impressive POKEY music can get. emkay #11 Posted May 8, 2011 I wonder what TL would have done with a hardsynth tracker, knowing of 2 tone modulations and stuff.... Hardsynth + Digis = THE POKEY SOUND ! turendmod.xex Not to mention that those tunes could be used in "gr.7" games....
emkay #12 Posted May 10, 2011 Hehe.... 3 emulations, 3 different soundings Same as above, just some -more interesting- sound combinations... as possible in the emulation Any comment? Some recording from the real thing? turnd.xex
