I remember the game you're talking about.. it was a homebrew and I think it was a contest submission of some sort around here.

You know, I never heard of Super Cobra untill finding this site, however way back in the day I had a game on the C64 called 'Scramble' that seems to be a clone of it and i LOVED that game... It was on a weird 4-1 disk that also had Kong (donkey kong), Cosmic Commander and Zodiac... Goddamn Zodiac rocked, kinda like a combination of Berzerk and Robotron 2084. I feel like I'm the only one that ever had this disk, cause nobody else ever know what I'm talking about when I describe this 4-1 games disk.

Scramble is the original Konami arcade game. Super Cobra is pretty much the sequel to Scramble.
