atari with tv inside

That is pretty cool!

And it is almost as big as the Sega Nomad. icon_ponder.gif

I bought a 13" TV with a VCR inside (which doesn't work). I have designs on some day making a TV with an Atari inside.

Ideally, I'd be able to tap into whatever the VCR was doing to automatically switch to its video source when a tape started playing to make the TV auto-switch to the Atari.

Someday...

As cool as that design is...I think it seriously suffers from the angle of the cartridge overshadowing the TV screen.

That's very cool. I could see doing that with a spare 4-switcher...

Not really portable, so uh, what is the point? It still needs a wall outlet, and it isn't handy.

As my wife tells me often "just because you can... doesn't mean you should."

Hey, no way. I thought of it. Now nobody else in the whole wide world should ever even think the same thought, let alone build it. icon_razz.gif :-D

Be sure to post on AA if you do build one.

Add some lite then.

Bud Lite with Lime?

I just threw up a little.

So where do I buy one? You can't just show us stuff like this without selling it or telling us how to make it. Its the law.

I just thought it was cool. Not too good with building stuff. If you like post a comment in the video and ask how he/she did it.

The Atari 2600 can run for over 24 hours by itself with 8 AA's. Hell it can run for 4 hours on a 9 volt.

Adding AA's to this wouldn't be that hard.

Judging by the lines in the screen, he used Ben Heckendorn's old composite audio/video mod.

Even though Neo Geo MVS carts are a near perfect fit for VCR cassette slots, I don't think it'd be very easy to fit something like that inside a TV. NES would be a nice option. There's tons of hardware available.

... Or Atari. Yeah, that could work too. :ponder:
