GeneralMurdock
I believe everybody knows that there are templates for atari 2600 (so it will work for 5200 and 7800) but I can't find a template for atari jaguar. I want to replace some of my boxes and I got the art from this site and thecoverproject site. All I need now is a template with the right measures. I tried it with a n64 box, because the difference is just the side the upper and lower part come from. In atari jaguar it comes from the front and in n64 it comes from the back. The size is just the same. So is there any atari jaguar box template around ?
LinkoVitch
Yes there is Jaguar Artwork in the Cartridge Box directory. Hope that's what you are after.

I founded it in 2003, alas never really started anything much. Not the case currently tho
GeneralMurdock
It's almost like that. I was hopping for something to print in two A4 paper to replace my damaged boxes.

Perhaps the best bet would be to open out one of your boxes and scan it on an A4 scanner, and build your own template from that. Maybe useful for others out there that want to do similar. The only template I have is that one, the official Atari one, sorry. Good luck
GeneralMurdock
Well, atari jaguar boxes has the same size the N64. The only difference is the side the upper and botton flaps comes out. In the N64 it comes from the back and in the jaguar it comes from the front. I've tried to modify my 64 template but the size mismatched don't know why:(
Jag_Slave
I made a Tempest2000 box, that also is a great template. I made it in illustrator... if anyone wants that one instead, PM me. But the links above are just as useful.
GeneralMurdock
How did you printed it ? You printed in two A4 pages and glued them together ? One for the front, one for the back ?
Jag_Slave
those templates should fit fine on one a4, or 11x17 print
GeneralMurdock
You mean the Atari official one ? It won't fit, try to get a A4 paper and wrap a atari jaguar box, you can't do it. And the max size my printer does is A4 Edited May 17, 2011 by GeneralMurdock
Jag_Slave
I measured the old boxes by hand. They fit perfectly fine on (11inchx17inch) paper. Unless that template is the wrong size, or you're scaling it somehow, the template has plenty of room on 11x17. Hope that helps! I have a template that works if you cant get yours working
Jag_Slave
And on that note, Im confusing what box you are referring to. The cart boxes will fit on 11x17 paper... As far as making a box for the whole Jaguar system, you will have to get that custom printed at a shop because it's a large format print. Usually what I do is have them print on vinyl, and then have them glue the vinyl to card stock. Its the same as the stickers they use to put on vans, trucks, etc... But I suggest you do what they recommend to you. For one box, I would be willing to guess if its only a small order (1-5 box templates), you are looking at 30-40 bucks per print depending on where you go. Keep in mind Im used to getting my student discount, for doing graphic design. So prices will vary ALOT. Hope this helps.
PlaysWithWolves
I almost started a new thread, but it seems more appropriate here. Songbird asked me to make a 6MB badge in the style of other labels, such as "1-2 players". Below is the 300 DPI graphic for any who may find it useful: Yes there is Jaguar Artwork in the Cartridge Box directory.Hope that's what you are after. Thanks for access to the template! A great resource.

"Songbird asked me to make a 6mb logo..." ... this also means good things to come!
