salzmafia.com #1 Posted May 9, 2011 About ten years ago I bought a book from a thrift store which was about Breakout (or Super Breakout) for the 2600. The author talked about his experience with the game of how he'd go to parties and people would be to busy playing the game instead of drinking and stuff like that. It wasn't a strategy guide by any means even though he talks about some strategies in it. It was more about his experiences with the game. It was hardback, and I believe a mostly black cover. I can't remember the name and I can't find my copy and google is just giving me junk. Help!

S1500 #4 Posted May 9, 2011 Yep, that's the one. I have a copy. How the heck can you talk that much about Breakout? This guy did. I should actually finish the book.
DickNixonArisen #5 Posted May 9, 2011 (edited) Oh yeah! I mistyped without noticing. Then I wondered if "Prisoner in the microworld" was anything and googled it, and I got my own post about it. Pfft. Either way, great book. Maybe I thought "prisoner" because he did kind of become obsessed; at the end of the book he has a more guarded relationship with videogames. Also, the first result for 'pilgrim in the microworld' is my amazon review from a few months back (A Hughes, human)... either way you search, right or wrong, you get a heapin' helpin' of me. The FIRST amazon review is a good laugh also, by someone who tried to convert Sudnow and regrets not continuing to bother him.
