flashjazzcat #1 Posted May 9, 2011 (edited) Hi Folks The saga of the cursed version 3.21 goes on. I was writing some readme files this evening on the Atari using version 3.21a, and I wondered why the word processor felt so sluggish. Surely an editor this unresponsive didn't win the ABBUC's Application of the Year award two years running? Turns out that in fixing one bug, LW 3.21a had introduced another. Namely, it wrecked the editor's intermittent screen redraw engine, slowing the editor right down. I've simply reversed the changes to that routine. Please download The Last Word 3.21b and discard all previous versions. The new bank management stuff of 3.21a remains, and the equates are still the same, so all the 3.21 extensions still work. Download LW 3.21b from Atari8: The Last Word Download Page Direct LW 3.21b Download Link Please tell your friends... If you've got to have a bug, the slowdown is preferable. --Kuty
