PressureCooker2600 #4126 Posted April 25, 2007 Free-The Warriors This was a GREAT weekend for me...a lot of these games were ones that i'd been actively seeking out (Lost Luggage! Yesss!!), and finding all those complete Genesis games really made my day, as that's my primary system that i collect for. The Warriors game kicks serious ass. Almost as good as Manhunt. Great movie, great game. "Warriors.......come out and playyyyyyyeeeeayyyyy!!" And Lost Luggage is hard as hell. I can't last past the first few waves cause it just gets impossible past then. Aye, Lost Luggage is a harsh mistress. I have a special reason for being excited about it though...there were a handful of more oddball 2600 games i remembered loving as a kid, and one of my main goals in collecting was finding them all again. Lost Luggage was the last one.

bfutrel #4129 Posted April 26, 2007 Finally got an A/V cable for the Dreamast I picked up last week from eBay for $4. The unit actually works! I can't wait to connect it to a TV. Right now it's connected to a TV card and the picture is not as sharp as it could be.

Wester #4132 Posted April 26, 2007 Picked up a nice working GameGear with carrying case AC adapter and Sonic 2 for $1.50 Mario Bros. 2 mug for $8 Socrates Educational Video System for $1.50 Here's the kicker, when I walked into my local SA today the first thing I saw was a kid dialing his cell phone standing over a boxed Guitar Hero controller! I couldn't believe that it was at a Salvation Army already, I followed him around the store inconspicuously until he paid for it hoping that he would change his mind and put it down. He paid $19.50 for it.
Night Driver #4133 Posted April 27, 2007 In a way, I spent 69 cents at SalVal and got an NES and 32 games! I found Doc's Cleaning Kit! No more glitches. No freezing. Amazing picture. I can play entire games w/o things going all weird. It really is like a brand new system! $.69 Also- "Scoring BIG at PAC-MAN (How to Munch the Monsters)" 1982 by Craig Kubey $.
EricDeLee #4134 Posted April 27, 2007 I got a Portable Color TV for $15 at the local Thrift Store. Plus, I got to talk to the manager, all game items will be placed on hold for me to check out first! That is really cool of them! And they say they get video game stuff in all of the time. Nothing at this moment. The Portable TV I got is a Casio TV-770B It is a Crystal Vision. Not the best in the world... that I know... but pretty cool. It looks a lot like this: If anything, it is a great thing to watch some of the Detroit Tigers ballgames while I'm at work. shadow460 #4139 Posted April 28, 2007 (edited) Left behind a Frogger board game today. It was priced at a buck, and if it hadn't been missing two of the frogs, I'd have snatched it right up. I hit perhaps three or four garage sales today just on the way home from the bank. They were practically dry of anything good, let alone video game items. Atariman #4142 Posted April 29, 2007 (edited) Repaired 3 gamecubes for my local game shop and walked away with this as payment: Wico Command Control Trackball controller for my Texas Instruments computer (boxed with AC adaptor) Texas Instruments computer joysticks 500XJ Epyx Atari 2600 controller NIB NBA Jam T.E. for Game Gear NIB X-Men for Game Gear NIB The Incredible Hulk for Game Gear Warcraft II BNE Diablo (with guide) Unreal Tournament GOTY Edition Medieval: Total War And a few audio CDs (nothing too fantastic) Some random cable that I think is either a C64 I/O cable or perhaps the TI computer's I/O cable. Not really sure (could use either one) I think I came out alright, especially considering that fixing cubes isn't too hard. Scumdogg #4143 Posted April 29, 2007 Hit a couple flea markets today...nothing earth shattering, but i walked away with a few games: Genesis, $3 each and complete Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure Mick & Mack as Global Gladiators (woo, McDonalds game!!) Columns III Atari 2600, $2, loose H.E.R.O. The best part about that H.E.R.O. cart was that it was in some dirtmall flea market i've never been to, and the guy basically just had a bunch of porn, along with 2 crates of overpriced video games. Overpriced as in $30 for used Dreamcast sports titles (i asked, this is actually what he was charging). My wife spotted a box of Atari games, with this and a bunch of commons. I held it up and said "How much for this" and the guy says "Oh, that's $2". Sweeet.
+FujiSkunk #4144 Posted April 30, 2007 (edited) Good day yesterday. First I found an Intellivision, and except for a video jack that needs a bit of resoldering, it's in great shape. It fired up a game on the first try. How often does that happen? $5. Next, wonder of wonders, I actually found Atari 2600 games at a thrift! Several, in fact, some of them even boxed. The down side was, the store was asking $4 a pop for the loose carts and $5 a pop for the boxed games. But, as luck would have it, they were also having a store-wide 50%-off sale. So, I picked up Deadly Duck, Beany Bopper, Jr. Pac-Man, a boxed Home Run and a sealed Video Olympics, all for $11. I couldn't complain. I can't say for sure that the shrink-wrap around Video Olympics is the original, but I'm willing to bet it is. The box itself looks like it's still glued shut, and there's a Target price tag on the shrink wrap. Unfortunately the shrink wrap has done a bit of damage to the box itself, so there is some warping and a small tear where the cartridge has broken through the back of the box. Anyway, if anybody wants it, it's up for trade. The roommate also had a good day. He found a Linksys network switch, a DVD rewritable drive, and an electric edge trimmer, all for $4 total. Working on the thrift store lady's computer is not without its perks. Edited April 30, 2007 by skunkworx
