Mildly interesting CL find today. Picked up a 2600 vader with some 60+ loose games for $50, not bad considering it came with a copy of Xonox Robin Hood (not double ender.) I think that's only my 2nd R8, although it's a little rough. Also, a number of Sears picture label carts, including Outer Space and Blackjack, neither of which have an Atari picture label counterpart.

It also came with 4 CX-40s and for some reason, 3 7800 Proline sticks.

Grabbed 5 2600 carts from the same store I got my huge score a few weeks ago. All commons unfortunately. With the highest out of the lot I got today being a R3. Picked them up for 50 cents a piece.

Here's what I got:

Golf

Bowling

Target Fun

Frogger (Parker Brothers)

Planet Patrol (Spectravision)

I can't really complain on what I got. Apart from Target Fun, I didn't have any of the carts. All the labels are pretty good condition.

Though I have to re-adhere the label back on to the Frogger cart. It fell off when I got it.

I also got 2 Musicmate Modular Tape Organizer modules which the games were in. Paid 50 cents for both of them.

Nice. I remember when Ape Escape came out. Still haven't picked that one up, but I would like to.

I got an Xbox 360, a 20 GB hard drive, a head set, wireless controller, component cables, Dead Rising, the Xbox Live Arcade Compilation disc, the HD-DVD drive, and about ten movies for a total of ~250 bucks. Also came with a 120 day warranty.

A couple days ago I wrote about picking up two non-working PS2 slim consoles for $7.50. Some of you guys had some good advice on what goes wrong in these things, and I took one apart to start monkeying with it. Then I discovered that the PSU I'd tested it with (and was included in the bundle) was actually for a PSP. No wonder it didn't work!

So I hit Gamesopt hoping to find one used, but no dice. They wanted $20 for a new one. I knew I could probably get one on Ebay for around $10, so I thought maybe that would be the deal. On a whim I zapped over to Best Buy, and they had two 3rd party PSU's marked down to $5 each! When I get 'em home, I found that both my slims work. So for under $20 total I've got 2 working PS2 slims, 2 dual shock 2's, AC adapters, a not-so-useful PSP AC adapter) and a copy of Call of Duty 3 and a DVD of High School Musical that was in each one. Except for the DVD, I think that I made out. ;)

Picked up a Q Bert 5200 box Monday for $2. It's in decent shape considering its age. The cartridge inside, though, looks like it's been bombed. At least the box matches the cart and instruction book I have in my collection.

3 NES games - SMB3, Mission Impossible, and Bionic Commando. The last 2 were $3 each but SMB3 was only 99 cents. Ok.

Also, not a video game, but a Radio Shack Sea Battle which is just like Electronic Battleship. It was $1.50

Cool Jeremy! Some nice finds plus for a $1.50 a RS Sea Battle is worth picking up for some non-video game fun. :)

I had my eyes on a PS2 official hard disk at Play n Trade since Monday. Tonight I walked into a thrift shop and saw FFXI, minus the hard disk, for $13. I grabbed it. I also grabbed a sackful of 2600 controllers for $1.50 and flipped them for $5 store credit at PnT when I purchased the hard disk.

Watch it be a Linux kit hdd.

You can use Model 2 Genesis PSUs for future reference.

Nice find on that CIB Merlin especially... I don't know how "rare" that is, but that was one of my favorite toys when I was a kid. Nice price.

Thanks, I don't think they're particularily rare or valuable but my wife was estatic. She had one growing up and now all I hear is this beeping and booping in the house all day :D

The local Salvation Army stores here price any disc games - like Dreamcast and Playstation - at $1.99.

I bought:

*Gran Turismo 2(it looks MUCH better than my copy)

*Panzer General

and I have no idea how they let this one get by but

*Final Fantasy VIII

Anything that even SMELLS like an RPG(or says Final Fantasy) around here gets swiped and eBay'd so I was amazed to see it. Perfect shape and only one or two scuffs on Disc 2 at worst. Made me happy. :)

Not a thrift story, but I walked into Target last night and went over to the clearance section, as I usually do, and there wasn't much. So, I went over to the regular games section, and to my surprise, there were some games with ridiculous prices on the shelves. I've been waiting particularly for the game Brutal Legend for the Xbox 360 to go down in price, and it was sitting there for $12.97! I hit the buzzer and a girl came over with the keys. She takes the game and it rings up as $59.99. I then point out the tag, and she marks it down to $12.97! Apparently, a employee screwed up and put a bunch of games up with the wrong tags, but she was cool and hooked me up at the tagged price.

CL find tonight

PS2 fat with 2 controllers, 2 memory cards, cables ect.

Rock Band set (original) with game, drums, mic, and guitar

RB Track Pack Vol 2

RB Track Pack Classic Rock

RB Track Pack Country

RB Track Pack AC/DC Live

Rock Band 2

also

GTA San Andreas + stratagy guide

Jak II

SSX

Jet X2O

Rachet and Clank

Rachet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal

Rachet and Clank: Going Commando

Secret Agent Clank

Got it all for $125 which wasn't bad considering they are all new games to my smallish PS2 collections.

Especially looking forward to Rockband as I enjoy the GH games and my wife has been bugging me to get it. I know it's not as good as the other console versions, but I'm too cheap to buy a current system anyway!

Right on man!!,that's what they're supposed to do.If there's an item with more than 1 price, even if its an error, they're supposed to charge you the lowest price,so my friend who works retail told me.
