Stopped at the Goodwill that never has anything good, they had some good stuff:

 

A pair of driving controllers - 3.99

New in package Mattel Electronic Football repro - 1.99

Tunnel Runner 2600 - 3.99

 

Left a bunch of 2600 games behind as they were 3.99 for R1 - R3 games. I will try to go back tomorrow to get a few of the Sears titles once they are half price. There is also a Suncom Slik Stik that feels like it may need some rebuilding for 3.99.

 

Nothing good at Value Village, but I was looking at an N64 memory card when a guy asked me "you wanna buy some N64 games?". I think he was mentally disabled and against my better judgement I drove to his house, where he lived with his mom. Anyway I got Jet Force Gemini, Earthworm Jim, and Indiana Jones and Infernal Machine. Nothing I needed, but wanted to help him out. He wanted $3 ea, but since I bought three he gave them to me for $10. :-) Hope he gets something cool with the $10. Morgan

 

So the deal was you buy 3 and get to pay him an extra buck?

 

I think he listed off 4 games. So he got what would have been $12 for $10.

Indiana Jones and Infernal Machine is one game, not two.

Yeah Like I said, he wasn't all there, but a super happy guy with some speech issues. I went to the address he gave and it was a good neighborhood, so I knocked on the door and he says "you'll have to stay outside, my mom says you cant some in" (he was probably 40 or so) I was only going to get two for $3 ea, but since I bought three, he gave me the "special" deal. The laugh I had to hold until I got in the car was worth the extra buck...... Morgan

Yesterday I found a Model 2 Sega-CD with a Model 2 Genesis for $3. Had both power supplies a 3 button controller but no A/V cable but I already have one of those. Got around to testing it today and it works.

It seems like Goodwill's been on a "kind" streak lately.

 

Yesterday I saw a Sega Saturn behind the infamous glass cash register counter. There was a line and some teenage helpers were farting around. Just because I had nothing to do I stood around and waited for help. I was able to flag down a guy who walked behind the counter.

 

"Can you get me the price on that Sega?"

 

"$2.99"

 

(I thought for sure he said/meant $29.99 so I asked him to repeat it)

 

"$2.99, you can find these everywhere."

 

Ohhhh-kayyyyy... "Yeah, I'll take that."

 

$2.99 Sega Saturn Model 2 with Sega controller.

3DO (Panasonic front-loading) $15 (IMO the only one to get. Goldstar? Barf!)

Wow, some great hardware scores this weekend. $3 for a Saturn, another post had $3 for a Sega CD and Genny together, plus $15 on a 3do (welcome to the club!).

 

Very cool.

 

I picked up a Pearl Blue SP this weekend for $12.50 not as outstanding as a $3 saturn for sure.

Picked up a Longbox PSX LOADED today CIB for 95 cents at a book store. Nothing else cool. Traded a bag of crappy items for $20.47 store credit and blew it on that and some zappers to put with NES sets I'm selling.

PS1 Civilization II, Wild Arms & Resident Evil Director's Cut; SNES Final Fantasy II & Secret of Evermore. $30 for the lot at a hole in the wall thrift. The PS1 games are complete and in excellent condition.

Somehow I managed to contain my excitement and pass this awesome deal up.

I didn't find much today at the local music/game store but the couple things I did find were worth the trip. I had no idea that House of the Dead for the Saturn was so valuable, what a great deal!

 

 

$3.99 - SATURN House of the Dead

$8.99 - SNES Super Mario RPG (Nice looking cart with a nice looking Instruction Booklet)

$6.99 - NES Little Ninja Brothers (A bit over-priced but I have never played or owned this one so wanted to check it out)

If you guys remember a couple months back I picked up a royally ****ed NES. Well I just got some free time so I just got done restoring it. I left the sticker residue on the bottom so you would believe me and that new lid is actually a replica. No scavenged parts were used.

Joker's Wild, Space Ace, and Escape from Cybercity. They also had a golf game but I only had $6 on me.

 

Now to find a CDi unit...

Someone makes them. You do have to shim down the hinge a little or the lid won't close properly but other than that it looks factory stock.

You know, I have a CDi I'm willing to part with (for a fair price.) Have several games and a gamepad for it. It also has the DVC installed so you can watch VCDs and play games that required the Digital Video Card for enhanced graphics.
