I found this super cool CD yesterday and grabbed it:

They also had an Activision TV Games plug-n-play, and I thought about coming back for it later, but after reading the reviews, I think I'll pass.

...but I might have to go back to get this, if it's still there:

Yeah, I think I'll stop by tomorrow and hope they still have it, the reviews sound pretty decent.

Though it's NoaC, isn't it? I couldn't find a review that specifically stated, just some that said that the earlier plug'n'plays were NoaCs. I know I played an older one with Pac-Man, Dig Dug, and Bosconian, and it wasn't very arcade faithful =)

Nice. One of my favorite bands.

I was thinking about coming back for it later, since I'm the only one who ever buys CDs from that place...but I figured I didn't want to take the chance.

It doesn't make very appropriate driving music, though...it makes me feel like I'm playing Road Rash B)

"What's Goin' On?" is a freaking great album. I was lucky enough to find a 180gm re-release at a record shop for only $10 a couple of years ago...

That Pole Position cab might make a fun project. $50 is a pretty good deal considering that you don't have to deal with shipping.

Complete in boxes C64 system, Disk Drive and Printer $5

That's a sweet deal on the C64! Great system to pull out and play occasionally and reminisce about simpler days.

You remember, when we could pull an all-nighter slaughtering monsters in an RPG or try to beat the darn computer at poker so you could get a "better view" of the dealer.

Or maybe that was just me :P.

That was me too! I would wake up early before school to load up Forbidden Forest or Raid on Bungling Bay on cassette and then go back to bed so it would be ready to play after breakfast. I remember having Stroker 64 and having my girlfriend play it and taking it to school on my SX-64 portable and you would have thought I had porn streaming on that little 5" monitor. Good Memories!!

Nice little haul today. First, at the thrift store I volunteer at, I found this:

I opened it up and... no SF2. Instead, this was inside:

Since I already own an SF2 cartridge, but not G3, I was willing to accept the difference.

This also came in, and I'm going to put it up for grabs in the thrift store sale thread.

Finally, my little suburb threw its first annual "This Is Kingwood Festival," where residents were encouraged to set up booths and offer up some arts and crafts and other wares. One guy had a booth dedicated to toy collections. I had read about these before but hadn't really thought about pursuing them. When I saw them right in front of me though, I had to have them.

I'm weak that way. :)

Jupiter Strike for PS1 in long box. Tag says $2, which I thought was good enough, but apparently today was 30% of video games day at a random thrift. So $1.48 after tax. And with some gentle scraping/ peeling with a finger nail the price tag came off pretty cleanly.

So a few weeks ago I'm talking to a carpet installer at work and we're chatting about games on phones and I mention how I like the older stuff and still play Atari so he says he has an Atari system and computer and he's looking to get rid of it so I of course told him that I'd be interested. Finally today I was able to go to his house and he brings me to the basement. He had everything here plus an Atari 800XL which he seemed to value the most with 3 disk drives and a case of floppy disks which were some originals but mostly copies so I haggled to get everything in these pics for $100 and left the 800XL (aside from 3 games you'll see in one pic) so hopefully I did well, which it looks like I did.

The first pic is just boxes for some reason, oh well, the boxed Atari has matching serial numbers which is nice
