0078265317 #1 Posted May 21, 2011 I know stadium events is rare and all but 38 thousand is a lot isn't it (even sealed)? eBay Auction -- Item Number: 200605951608
Koopa64 #2 Posted May 21, 2011 It's mostly the VGA grading and case that factored in it's value... Not to mention some Buy-It-Now markup. I'm thinking the guy listed it on eBay more to show it off than to actually sell it.

Itchy Koala #7 Posted May 22, 2011 I wish he would grow some cherries and auction style the game. Those are much more exciting
Austin #8 Posted May 22, 2011 I wish he would grow some cherries and auction style the game. Those are much more exciting Exactly. He is likely to still earn quite a chunk of change from it. Regardless, as others have said, he might just be doing it for show.. I'm curious to know what he originally paid for it.

There was an auction that ended at $42k and the game changed hands. The only thing I ever heard otherwise was that the they paid slightly less than the $42K. Show me where the seller says they didn't pay and it will give your story some credence. Edited May 22, 2011 by horseboy

Show me where the seller says they didn't pay and it will give your story some credence. Either way, this is then a second copy that has now emerged, Which makes it and the first one worth less. If this was put up for auction, it would not fetch what is being asked. I really don't think anyone would expect that. It definately is a Gem and is worth a shit-ton. But a 38K BIN? C'mon. In my buying experience, Every time an ultra rare game comes up for bid, and goes for a ton of $. The game is then on Ebay almost always immeadiately after the auction. Sometimes with multiple sellers thinking they will get the same price. It never happens. I actually have been the "first buyer" of an item not sold for awhile and while the auction was still going on a seller posted the same item for less than my bid. It just happens. Every time a rare game is sold for any amount of money. The game is worth what someone is willing to pay. I would put my paycheck that no-one is paying that price without an auction.
