Atari Force aficionados - you're help needed!

Recommended Posts

Okay, so I collect original comic book art. I don't have a lot of pieces, but you can see all my stuff here:

One of my more recent acquisitions is a page of art described by the auction house (Heritage Auctions) as "Unpublished Atari Force Graphic Novel page 35". The art is by Ernie Colon, whose only published Atari Force art is inking Keith Giffen on a Hukka story.

I'm attaching *my* art to this post. Another page from this project can be found here:

So, does anyone know anything about this? It's entirely possible that this isn't from an Atari Force project at all. (I don't mind. The price was good enough and the art neat enough to keep anyway.)

Any information at all would be appreciated.

Well, it *is* unpublished, so references would be slim. If you follow the second link I provided, you will see that the owner of the other page states that the overlay is stamped "Atari Force #1, Page 40." I have asked him if he has a scan of the overlay. I'm also trying to get ahold of the artist, Ernie Colon. No luck so far.

It turns out there are plenty of unpublished Atari Force pages out there, though these are by Andru and Giordano, so have more credence.

I recently got this authentic Atari Force page:

And just a few minutes ago won another two pages on ebay that I haven't yet been able to identify:

eBay Auction -- Item Number: 2708367981741?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item=270836798174&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]

Anyone seen these two published? I can't find my mini-comics and I know the ones on AtariAge are missing a few pages...
