Estate Sale RARE Intellivison games

Recommended Posts

Well guys, today is your lucky day. I see that you mentioned that the rares come in waves. I was at an estate sale and bought an Intellivision and about 50 games. All with boxes, overlays and instructions.

In great condition is a Stadium Mud Buggies and a Spiker Super Pro Volleyball.

I am having a dispute with ebay and paypal, but am really looking to sell these. I am new to the forum, but willing to send pictures, make phone calls. Whatever it takes. I do not collect video games, but I have the same enthusiasm for old baseball cards. So I know what it is like to get ahold of rare finds. I am looking for the best offer.

If anyone has any questions or wants to make an offer, fire away.

Also, I apologoize that this was incorrectly posted in the worng forums.

Thanks!

I would be interested in some of your games but this comment from me scares me - "I am having a dispute with ebay and paypal". Does this mean that you are only accepting money orders? No offense but whenever someone new to the forums shows up with hard to find games everyone needs to be careful.

I have been a member with ebay for 4 years and only recently ran into issues with them. That is why I am not listing the games on there and why I am not going to get anywhere near what I would if I did. I will accept paypal payment though. I understand being cautious and I would be too.

However, someone has made an offer and we are finalizing it now. I will update if it falls through.

Thanks!

I have a general question about this lot. I see references here and to many Ebay listings to "estate sale".

Does this mean an auction? I keep an eye out for local auctions and they are usually of a few types.

Farming equipment, heavy machinery

Foreclosed restaurant inventory

Works of art or collectibles (memorabilia, china, crystal, figurines, etc)

Misc junk of overstock items and assorted crapola - anyone for a skid or two of canned veggies?

Specific items like stamp collections, coins and notes, etc.

Police or seized goods.

One person's belongings - this is likely what I think is the "estate sale" ? Everything from furniture to any of the above.

But not once EVER in about 20+ years of scanning auction sites or attending auctions have I ever seen video games, EVER...

Just my (bad) luck?

No, not an auction. It was an estate sale at a house. I went to look at the dining room set, saw the box of games and made an offer. First estate sale I was ever at, so I have no idea how else to answer you?

Did you get the dining room set? :P

Which games are currently in the 'closing deal' phase?

No, I did not. It was gone by the time I got there. And I was furious. Now, not so much.

As of now, the whole lot is going. If it falls through I will let you know.

I'll throw it out there...

How much love did it take to get these to their new, good home? (And by love, I am of course asking what the closing price was! :D And of course, I respect your right to not answer, or at least wait until they are in your hands to avoid shenanigans!)
