S-video on Sega Saturn.

Recommended Posts

I currently have a Saturn and was wondering what do people think of the S-video cable's for the system. What brands are good(was thinking of getting mine from Racketboy.com) Are there any games that do not work with S-video or have problems. How do 2D games look using S-video. I currently only have RF for it. Thanks for your time.

s-video is far better than rf, and is a much cheaper alternative to RGB.

as for brands, the only cables i have owned were generic. on the internet most auctions and sites do not list brand, so it will be difficult to find out the differnces.

I have both the Racketboy cable and an official Sega cable imported from japan. The Sega cable is better built, but the picture quality is the same.

I purchased the official Japanese S-Video cable from Sega years ago. Picture looks nice. I always buy first party cables.

svideo is the way to go on older systems imo. Should be able to get a nice cable (even shipped) for 7 bucks
