José Pereira #1 Posted June 1, 2011 Just some 'voyage' at YouTube and saw this: Don't know German but there's one guy saying 8in english) that it sounds the NES Soundchip... Is it? Just curious (will have a look at some more songs from them...)
José Pereira #2 Posted June 1, 2011 Hey S8 Music guys, what could we get on this Music & voice on POKEY. Something similar possible?
+CharlieChaplin #3 Posted June 1, 2011 Well, not sure if this is what you are searching for, but there is that nice demo by Jakub Husak which I simply name "Jakub-Demo" (not sure if the original name is Garfield-Demo or Fantastic Voice or something completely different). Why Jakub demo ?!? Simply boot the disk and when the Garfield picture appears, type in "JAKUB" on the computer keyboard and the second part "Music Nonstop" by Kraftwerk will be loaded. In other words, Jakub is the password for the 2nd part of this demo, that is why I name it Jakub-Demo... hope you like that Kraftwerk sound sample... -Andreas Koch. music_nonstop.zip

spookt #6 Posted June 1, 2011 SoftSynth - Jakub Husak http://asma.atari.org/asmadb/search.php?play=1723 Nice version. Anyone have an xex ?
+CharlieChaplin #7 Posted June 2, 2011 SoftSynth - Jakub Husak http://asma.atari.org/asmadb/search.php?play=1723 Wow, sounds great ! I would like to have both the Softsynth source and the XEX file version... Besides, the song "Das Model" can be found e.g. as a *.MOD file and err, RMT can import MOD-files, create an RMT file and/or an (RMT-) XEX file from it. Next there is a tool named MOD2TMC for the A8 which can convert a MOD file into TMC (Theta Music Composer) format and again one could create a (TMC-) XEX file of it. Last not least one can convert MOD into MD8 (8Bit MOD, mono) and play it back with an MD8-player on the XL/XE (Fampy 2.3 or Fampy 6.1 by Friday Software, Soundtracker, Amiga module player, etc.) or alternatively use MD82CMC to convert it into CMC (Chaos Music Composer) format and then create an (CMC-) XEX file of it... Attached the following ATR images: - Fam2Nr01.ATR: Fampy Version 2.3, a MD8 player by Friday-Soft; choose your drive (1050 or compatible, XF551 or compatible), then the player loads, when loaded press Select for Directory (Select again to scroll through it) and Start to load a file; when MD8 file is loaded, press Start to play it... - Fam2Nr08.ATR: a disk with MD8 files (including Kraftwerk`s Das Model as Model.MD8) which can be loaded with Fampy (from disk 01) or alternatively with Amiga Module Player on this disk; just boot Fampy and then insert this disk to play the files or boot this disk and from the menu (which says "No DOS on Disk!") choose Amiplay.COM; when the Amiga Module player has loaded, press Space for Directory and +* (left, right arrow keys without Control) to choose a file, Return to load a file and then Space to play it; Fampy and Amiga module player differ in speed, the filenames have the speed rate set for Fampy (filena_x.MD8, where X is the speed rate e.g. "D" for Das Model), you have to test the correct speed rates for Amiga module player (e.g. speed 6 is ok for Das Model)... Sndplay1.ATR: lots of sound players and converters; the disk also contains TMC2MOD.COM which is TMC <=> MOD converter (converts in both ways afaik), MD82CMC.COM which is MD8 to CMC converter and MODCONV.COM which converts MOD into MD8; also contains some MOD players like Inertia; Sndplay2.ATR: more sound players and converters, here you can find some MD8 players, e.g. Fampy 6.1 amongst others; the disk also contains an 8Bit WAV-player and some 8Bit .WAV to 4Bit sample converters... -Andreas Koch. das_model_md8.zip snd_play_conv.zip
