Subby #1 Posted June 2, 2011 Anyone know of an Atari wordprocessor that uses the WordStar command style? If not WordStar, maybe vi?
flashjazzcat #2 Posted June 2, 2011 I don't, but a macro could be (laboriously) written to emulate Wordstar behaviour using an Atari WP with a suitably flexible macro processor... I know of one accessible via the link in my sig.
Kr0tki #3 Posted June 2, 2011 Panther has its keyboard commands based on WordStar. (Panther inherits this feature from Quick Assembler, on which it is partly based.)

Kr0tki #5 Posted June 2, 2011 I'm not surprised, considering it was only published in Poland. Download, Atariki, and here's a copy of the manual that was included in the package.

It's a pretty nice editor; I like the menus and character graphics.
Subby #8 Posted June 3, 2011 I ran a bit of the Panther manual through Google Translate, and, well, we know how that worked out. The reason I was asking was twofold, and both amount to not much more than S&Gs. In other words, practicality does not enter into the equation here. I'm working on my VMware VCP and am starting to take copious notes. So I figured for the heck of it I'd do them on an Atari. At work I can use an emulator and save the files to my Dropbox. At home on my Atari 800 I can load the files over the SIO2PC cable from my PC's Dropbox folder. At least that is my intention. Whether it will really work or not remains to be seen. I've got a copy of the Atari Word Processor (Atari WP Topic), so I guess I'll give that one a round.
