NIAD #26 Posted June 9, 2011 I find that suspicious... What, that maybe the seller created another eBay account using a different email address, etc. and then made those two bids at $250 and then $719 to drive up the price and spark some insane interest? In the end, there still were two people that were willing to spend over $
ColecoDan #27 Posted June 9, 2011 It does look suspicious but you have to remember anyone who would pay that much for the game is also most likely a newbie so could be a newbie going to ebay as well to buy his colecovision stuff. I know I have put an outrageous $$ on some bids just because I knew nobody would actually bid that high and did not want to try a back and forth bidding war. However I always buy it at the end of the auction too so that there isn't a bidding war. A newbie wouldn't know to do that though. I still can't believe it went to $700. I do love the game but you could buy a colecovision SD for what 120 - 150 and not only get mario brothers but get mr chin as well. Of course as I am saying this I am also one of the crazies that tried to buy opcode's prototypes that went for crazy money.
rpgcollector #28 Posted June 9, 2011 Funny part is the week before he had this game listed with a BIN of $713. Open auction the next week and he gets $730. Wow! Now to get my copy insured, and have a weird fire
