Activision Labels online. . . at last

Recommended Posts

Remember those Activision lables that were going to be produced to replace your Actiplaqued Activision labels? Well, they are now online at AtariCart.com for your viewing pleasure. These labels will be in production very soon and will come complete with a reproduction tag so as not to be duped by some mal-intentioned ebay seller claiming they have a perfect collection of Activision games. Please stop by the site and check them out. Also to be released will be a poste of all the labels.

You know, it occurs to me that rather than buying individual ones and going to the trouble of applying them to carts, I'd rather buy the entire series of labels as a set and stick them in nice plastic sheets to look at; or at the very least order two - one to use, one to keep. Hopefully you'll be offering an option to get them all at once and they will be printed on some high quality stock that will keep better than the original labels did. :D

I'll third that idea. I might be inclined to buy a whole set at once but I would never get around to picking the things up one at a time.

The down side is that I'd have to re-start my Activision collection all over again. That way I could have one copy with nice repro labels for the presentability of the things and one copy with original actiplaque labels for the collector nerd in me. ;)

I agree.  It would be nice to have a sheet of them.  It would make a cool looking poster.

Also to be released will be a poste® of all the labels.

I'd buy the poster for sure!

Not sure about the labels thou. It would have to be a really rare cart in really really bad shape before I'd want to rip existing labels off to redo. Most of the Activision carts are quite common, and I've got a pretty nice collection in fairly great shape. I see no need to peel off it's label, just for a few inperfections.

Of course most of the printers coming out now do a pretty good job with the right type of stock, and there are templetes available for most style labels. I would think unless this is really cheap, that there would not be very much demand for the labels. Most people here could probably print out their own if they wanted to. This is just my opinion, of course, but it isn't something I would spend my money on. A poster however I would. :)

What I would really like to see though is a photomosaic done up from various Atari carts, boxes, & screenshots, that form a classic gaming scene.

I would like the poster and to relabel a second set of ugly activision carts.

Hopefully the repo identification is only noticible if you know where to look.

Where's the new Double Dragon label?!

It's on the second page. There's a bunch of blue, white, and a Venecian Blinds ( :!: ) label there too.

I concur. The poster would rock. And I get a set of labels to apply to doubles of existing Activision carts that I have. I'm lucky to have quite a few Activision carts in almost mint condition but a couple like Pitfall and Oink could use a new label.
