coin op Lunar Lander??

does anyone remember a coin op game Lunar Lander? used bw vector scan screen like astroids came out about same time 79/80? pilot an apollo ship to landing sites of various difficulty using a throtle. Difficulty could be selected by player different levels of gravity....was this ever ported over on any platform?? Last seen at Kennedy space center in 1982..thanks for any info or memories of this :?:

Ohhh, yes, I remember this game! I was a young lad back then, so it was hard as hell to me, it'd be nice to try out nowadays though, if I could ever find it anywhere! (Well, there's emulation...) I used to attempt to play it at a movie theatre at a local mall. Vector graphics were the best back then!

Oh, I just remembered there was a Lunar Lander port (sort of), on one of THE very first cartridges ever released for the Atari 2600: the game program Starship had Lunar Lander as one of it's game variations.

interesting fact some asterodes games where put in lunar lander cabnets to try and fill all the games that where ordered. At leats i thnk that happened or i dearmed that oh well.

Grrrrrr....... LUNAR LANDER!!

I don't think there was any other game manufactured that could tork me off more that this game!! And the funny thing? I STILL sunk hundreds of quarters into this machine!

And the *stupid* "lunar lander" nonsense "game" on the B side of 2600 StarShip is nothing remotely like LUNAR LANDER arcade ...

I remember it very well. It was around 1984 when this arrive to Czech. It was the first coin-op I was playng. And it was first game which I played when I installed xmame. BTW exists some port for XE or ST?

Ha ha, yeah, I played that today (thought I'd bump this up), and it's a travesty for them to call those game variations under the false moniker of L. Lander: pressing the button once you reach the center of the moon (which is only about three times bigger than your ship; must be a real small moon!) and you've "landed"...yeah, whatever!

i actualy saw one of these fairly recently. There is an arcade at Subway off the Ohio State campus, and they had a Lunar Lander Cab. I think its gone now though...
