Never tell your wife how much a 20 year old Volleyball game cost...

I meant they become larger in number. I don't think intellivision collecting depends only by the fact that collectors owned an intellivision when they were children

I know that applies to me. I hadn't even seen an Intellivision until my early thirties, but now I own (among other things) a few consoles, an ECS Computer Adaptor and Music Synthesizer keyboard, and 94 original cartridges.

However, I already liked 8-bit game systems because I grew up with the Ataris, and the Intellivision intrigued me because it was something different from what I was used to. I wonder if younger people who grew up on the XBox can appreciate these older systems enough to want to collect them on their own ... or to take care of the things in our collections after we're gone.

anyway i want to build an intellivision museum, i don't want my thing scattered about the world. I made a lot of efforts to create a project, I want it survives me.

Alex, other than a Tutorvision, what's left on your list of things to collect?

Nope, I think it's the white Intellivision, not a Tutorvision IIRC.

I need the tutorvision (the white console i have is not that), some PB boxes (i only have spiderman and the 2 revenge of jedi), boxed playcable with manual.

There are of course many ones of a kind, such us prototypes; I am also in contact with a person who has a sort of manual/advertisement of the famous printer we are talking about, but he refused to be covered of money and kept it;)

Which PB boxes are still out there?

I think Hulk is one. Intellivision World had a list of them, but im not sure if is just mock-up box art or if they exist for real.

Surely Hulk, jedi arena, GI Joe, James bond, Reactor, Strawberry Shortcake Musical Matchups, Lord of the rings: you can see the images here:

Chris Neiman has most of them (I think he misses only SSMM), but i don't know any other one who has them.

They were sold in 2000 on ebay for about 100-200$ each and never appeared again. I think at moment they're worth 1000-1500$ each one or probably even more.

In a advertisement appeared also Amidar and Sky Skipper intellivision boxes and different variants of the ones above (i.e. GI joe).

Just get the video game volleyball with the most digital boobage in it, so your wife will understand.

I can't think of any wives who wouldn't think this is great.

Hey, my wife & I split the cost of DOA:XBV 50/50 when it came out. She was interested in the dating game aspects of it.

Nobody but the Japanese and gradeschool kids thought it was great, though.

DOA:XBV was a fun game. Even if one wasn't interested in the hot girl factor of it ( :D ) the volleyball game was quite fun to play, especily aganist someone else.

I bought Xtreme 2 for my 360 when it came out and enjoy it even more. Now besides volleyball you have other mini games to play and it's quite hard. That game is my guilty pleasure. :P

Not to sidetrack this thread too much..... ;)

Trust me on this one.......icon_wink.gif

She almost had a heart attack and "smacked" me and said i was crazy and needed to sell it!!!

I met my wife while working at Sierra Online, so she knew what she was getting into! That said, she's been very cool about converting a part of our basement to my Man Cave / Video Game Room. She's a keeper!
