Record of Agarest War Zero

Recommended Posts

It looks like the DLC is available on the PS Store and XBox Live. PSN offers some of the items for free. XBL charges for everything.

My pre-orders which I made the moment the game was available for pre-order haven't shipped yet. :/

I want to get this game but probably wont until I beat the first one. Not unless I see a good deal on the limited edition. I actually started playing the first one again awhile ago when I saw this was coming. I'm almost done with the 3rd generation. I really need to get back to that game.

It looks like one of my copies will finally arrive tomorrow (the PS3 one). The 360 version will probably arrive next week. I'm excited to check out the extra goodies. :)

I might have made one of my co-workers interested in picking up the first game.

Regarding Zero, is there any benefit to having it and the original game on the same console? Ie: does anything save over (despite it being a prequel) or does it unlock anything extra? As I see Zero in stores here for both consoles and unsure if I should bother trying to get both on the same one.

I don't think it matters. Data carries over from generation to generation in the game itself, but I don't believe it carries over from game to game ala Mass Effect.

It allows you to load clear data from the first game. From what I've found online, this allows you to use some of the original game's characters and play "Extra Mode."

Wow so it does do this. I'm guessing by "clear data" you mean, clearing generations? Or is it saying clearing the whole game? For instance if I had made it through three generations could I load a game up using that data save?

I found this online...

If the players have Clear Data from the first game,it is possible to load it and unlock the Door to the Future after some progress. Through the door, players can access the maps from the first game and unlock items and characters from the first game. Leo, his descendants, the heroines, Ellis and Dyshana are unlocked free. However, other playable characters must be downloaded from the PlayStation Store

Still not 100% sure what "Clear Data" is.
