Gabriel #1 Posted December 29, 2002 WOOT! I finally found a copy of Afterburner 32x. Of course, it's just the cart, no instructions or box. It has movie rental stickers all over it. And I probably got massively ripped off paying $9.95 for it, but... It's MINE! It's my own! My PRECIOUS! Damn, this version is hard. The control is just a little too loose. Time to experiment with different controllers and see what works best. So, now, except for possibly Mortal Kombat 2 and maybe T-Mek, I have all the 32X games that I wanted (since CyberSled was never made).
Bratwurst #2 Posted December 29, 2002 Is Afterburner for the 32X supposed to be rare? Cheers to you all the same, I vest particular glee in my copy of Space Harrier. Arcade perfect indeed.
RMila75 #3 Posted December 30, 2002 I also love AfterBurner 32x. It does take some getting used to! A bit different form AB 2 on Genesis. Enjoy! A question about Space Harrier: Do you notice the glitch that lets many enemies and objects be invincible to your shots when you are running on the ground? I did not notice until I heard about it and tried playing mostly while running. It appears to be true.
Ze_ro #4 Posted December 30, 2002 I think the biggest surprise in your find is the fact that it was covered in rental stickers.... who rented 32X stuff??? --Zero
RMila75 #5 Posted December 30, 2002 Zero, you're right! About six years ago, I bought Zaxxon's Motherbase and MK2 at Blockbuster for $6.99 each. Both the carts and instructions looked untouched.
Bratwurst #6 Posted December 30, 2002 My copy of Knuckles Chaotix was a rental cart, fortunately the security strip sticker was only on the back of it.
