SlowCoder #1 Posted June 23, 2011 Is it a good item to pick up? Worth it?
jhd #2 Posted June 23, 2011 If space is an issue, it is the smallest 2600-compatible system readily available. All of my consoles are currently in storage, but I think it is a little bit smaller than a Jr., and is is way smaller than a woody. I've used my Gemini way more than any other models, and I've had no compatibility issues with anything I've tried (though I don't have a Supercharger or Harmony cart). opeygon #3 Posted June 23, 2011 I would get one just for the controllers alone. Joystick/paddle combo? Sweet!
AtariLeaf #4 Posted June 23, 2011 They are notorious for bad solder joints in the power supply plug and joystick ports. If you can test one before you buy it, make sure they work or you may have some work to do. They are nice systems though.
zylon #5 Posted June 23, 2011 Those systems have my favorite controls to use for paddle games. The soldering and switch quality suck, but repairable.
AtariLeaf #6 Posted June 23, 2011 Those systems have my favorite controls to use for paddle games. The soldering and switch quality suck, but repairable. They're ok, I have 4 or 5 of them (see them a lot in Canada). Still prefer Atari branded paddles IMO.
Rik #7 Posted June 25, 2011 I'd love to get a Gemini, problem is, whenever i do find one, it's all cracked and falling apart.
