+5-11under #4 Posted June 25, 2011 (edited) Extending a joke? If you check out the Newground video, you can see the same cart early on. It looks like a different one when they show the cartridge in the ColecoVision. edit: the backstory video, that is: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/571422 Edited June 25, 2011 by 5-11under

NIAD #7 Posted June 25, 2011 So, what do we have here, a total scam?, a homebrew creation?, a homebrew reproduction of the real game or possibly the real deal? The cartridge shell shown on the eBay picture is definetly the Coleco made shell and it had a buy it now for only $50.00!!! when the back story from the link above shows the original eBay sale from years ago at $500.00. Be interesting to hear from the winner of this "Buy it Now" when they receive the cart.
SRGilbert #8 Posted June 27, 2011 (edited) My guess is that it was a joke auction post and the buyer was a shill to complete it. The backstory behind it is pretty funny and worth the listen. It's from a podcast of John Hodgeman, regular guest on The Daily Show. Hodgeman mentions in the story that the only game he ever used a cheatcode for was "George Plimpton's Video Falconry" on his Colecovision. Judge John Hodgman Episode 22: Tips and Tricks and Justice Show: Judge John Hodgman In this episode, we are joined by SPECIAL GUEST and EXPERT WITNESS Morgan Webb, of G4 TV's X-Play. John argues that using a strategy guide when playing a video game is cheating, pure and simple. His friend Josef argues that while it provides an advantage, it's not out of line to use a guide and constitutes no cheating. jblenkle #9 Posted June 27, 2011 Why is something rattling around in my brain about this game from the distant past? After seeing it, it looks familiar to me.
