Happy_Dude #2 Posted December 30, 2002 atari-france???? Oh they knew what they where buying alright. was that you're ABSOLUTE maximum bid??? I always bid what I would be willing to pay and if its exeded decide if its worth anymore and "SNIPE" I have, on one occasion, Sniped at the Literal Last second :)
christianscott #3 Posted December 30, 2002 yeah i figured that bidder did know what it was, looking at few of the other bidders track records and the auction listing i suspect some people thought it was a modem for the atari computer line...for the record that was my max bid, i had hoped to take for under 30 and even as rare as it is i cant justify a big bid, it is in a sense a useless object. ah well thats ebay, snipers n' all. christianscott #5 Posted December 30, 2002 no hard feeling atari france...just sour grapes. sniping is fair game...even i waited until the last 4 mins to up the bidding. enjoy the gameline! DP lists this as being worth around $150 so you got quite the deal.
King Atari #6 Posted December 30, 2002 I've heard people complain abou sniping, but it's all fair game. I've had to resort to it myself at times.
