I got mine back in the 70's. I still have it, and yes indeed, she still works.

Bought it new and still have it. Just got it back out and it still works great.

I got mine and my wife's family got theirs back in the early 1980s. I remember pitching one, that in the early 1990s when we moved. I did not see a reason to keep it when they were everywhere for about $5 and I had a 7800 & JR I bought new (when the price dropped, maybe $50 each). I now have about 6 2600s, and honestly not sure which one was orginally bought new. I think is is my 4 switch woody.

But my Jr. and 7800 were bought new as well, maybe in 1985-1986.
