oldjd #1 Posted July 11, 2011 My wife is in need of a Jaguar cd console. If you have a shell,no guts even better. She has been getting alot of requests for the Jag cover, but also for the cd unit. I cannot tell what the difference is,but apparently there is. If you want to loan her a console,to use as the template, she would give you the first cover as payment.Or could pay if you have what she needs She isnt on here much so thats why Im here begging... (nannyssewingtreats=Barb) Please respond via pm,and let me know if you can help

greencoman #4 Posted July 12, 2011 So your looking for someone to loan you a jag cd player is that it. Assuming you will give it back or do you just want a shell just for the sake of the cover. Assuming it does not matter.
oldjd #5 Posted July 12, 2011 So your looking for someone to loan you a jag cd player is that it. Assuming you will give it back or do you just want a shell just for the sake of the cover. Assuming it does not matter. Shell would be fine,as long as its complete As far as "borrowing"one,as I said, its just to make the template.I have a good reputation here, but I cant expect anyone to willingly just ship thiers off, without a guaranty that it will come back Other then a promise and good reputation and the first cover made as payment, not sure what else we could offer. oldjd #7 Posted July 19, 2011 Ok,different tactic. Can anyone get some detailed pictures with dimensions of this console? What I need to know is where the differences are in the reg.console and the cd console What I believe she would need is length, width, height, openings for power or joysticks etc Any help, would be much appreciated
oldjd #10 Posted August 3, 2011 Anyone? Hate to keep asking. If you know someone who has this,or can make a suggestion where one could be found????? Thanks
+orpheuswaking #11 Posted August 5, 2011 I very much doubt someone will just lend you one, they are temperamental at the best of times, I know I wouldn't want to ship mine back and forth. Best bet would be to bid on one on Ebay, make the cover and then flip it.

And yeah,I know "borrowing"one in this day and age is unlikely at best...but you never know. I had a guy send his Vectrex so that wife could make the template. But,I suppose if she keeps getting these requests, your idea may be a an option

Goochman #15 Posted September 12, 2011 Not sure if you got your answer but I found this on another site: [About Jag CD] The drive was being manufactured by Philips in the United States. Its dimensions are 6.5" x 10.5" x 3.5", and it weighs 1 pound, 10 ounces and apparently the Jaguar itself measures: Size: 9.5" x 10" x 2.5"

Thanks for measurements, but I think you can understand w/o an actual case,it would be a crap shoot. I am curious,is the cd portion a seperate part or is it all one? In the mean time, she has been able to get a bunch of other stuff done, and will be posting pix soon(Shameless plug)
Goochman #17 Posted September 13, 2011 CD unit plugs into the Jaguar base cart slot so the total height would be about 6" off the ground. That would not include if a cart was plugged into the Jag CD (it has a pass through slot) - Most JagCD owners have a memory cart so Im not sure if there would be a way to allow room for a cart to stick up
