R.Cade #1 Posted July 12, 2011 Hi guys, I bought this last Christmas and played around with it a bit, but never really used it much. I have the cart itself (flashed with latest firmware as of a month or so ago), a powered IDE->CF converter, and a 128M CF. This combination is stand-alone (power is supplied by Atari) and works fine, but I find that I just use the regular old SIO to RS232 cable for the occasional gaming sessions. Does anyone want a whole setup for $50 shipped in the continental US?
R.Cade #2 Posted July 25, 2011 Nobody? You are essentially getting the CF->IDE adapter, the CF card, and the shipping for free. If it isn't worth that to someone, make me a reasonable offer.
dwane413 #3 Posted July 25, 2011 It might help if you gave a little more information about what this does, for people who don't already know about it. When you first posted this, I had to do a little searching to find out what it was. I found this: MyIDE+Flash Cartridge Documentation I wasn't interested in the Atarimax "MyIDE+Flash" Cartridge because it sounds like it requires an XL/XE computer and wouldn't work with the Atari 400/800. Is the powered IDE->CF converter a device that allows a CompactFlash card to be used as an IDE drive? That's what I assume, because this thread mentions plugging an IDE-CF cart on top of the MyIDE + MaxFlash.
R.Cade #4 Posted July 25, 2011 (edited) Sorry about that- I figured everyone on AtariAge knew what this was! Yes, it is a 1 megabit flash cart with IDE interface. The adapters allow use of a CF card, which is all self-contained and powered by the Atari. I think you are correct and it only works on XL and XE computers, but I am not 100% sure. +orpheuswaking #5 Posted July 25, 2011 With the recent release of the PBI IDE options the Maxflash+IDE becomes less desirable, so I can understand why there is a lack of interest. Also the CF adaptors can be had on Ebay for a couple of bucks and a 2gb CF can be snagged for under $10 (making 128mb less required). Personally I would pay no more than $20 (which is what I paid for my current one)
R.Cade #6 Posted July 25, 2011 To each his own, but that's certainly not a fair price for something that retails for ~$70.

I'll take it I think $50 is fair since I know the person selling it from other site's and have had very good deals.. Chris Ok received it 08/26/11 Works great thanks Pete..
