DESANDO JOE!! His Arch Nemesis, Clarineto McKelvey wants his fame, his place, so he is out to kill Desando Joe. esplonky #7 Posted July 19, 2011 it's gonna be a lot better, and the december 2012 thing wsa put in there as a "joke" and i used this poster as a final product in my graphic design class at school, and the teacher is some wacko bitch and made me put a release date so yeah, and Random Terrain, i stated that it's in "Basic Stages" but it's a lot better than before. but still no sound /: couldnt figure it out still, my bB doesn't like Bitop_all_purpose and stuff like that. but im still in production so the official release date is August 1st. and i cant do a video, sorry about that guys, i cant find a screen recorder that records a certain area instead of the whole screen for Fedora 14, but i'll get some sccreenshots in asap. I know its your first game but you are up against a load of try before you buy ROMs e.g. free. If somebody buys your game for $5 and it doesn't "deliver" what they expect then they probably won't buy a second title off you. Many bB games have good animations, music, sound effects, a title page, intro sequences etc. A little extra care with your game's presentation gives it a better first impression. If you are stuck on making something work then ask questions in the bB forum. However, be prepared to do some work yourself to get a solution that works for you. esplonky #15 Posted July 21, 2011 well theres a thing about the bB forums. i do figure things out on my own, but i do go to the forums if i have problems. and all i get is a .bas file and i either get compilation errors, or my game just freezes up and i spend hours tweaking with something that wont work. but i mean im not expecting many purchases, but i just need some money right now. but by the beginning of august ill have some good stuff on it. like sound effects, and an intro, and other stuff. im gonna try to do some bank switching where Desando Joe can only be on the top 3/4 or the to 2/3 and then another difficulty thats 1/2 the screen or 1/3 or something. itll be alot better once i get some help from RT on my sound problems.
