r3tr0g4m3r #1 Posted July 26, 2011 In the process of refurbing and cleaning a controller, I attempted to re-attch the blue (v) wire to the PCB, but I broke one of the spades. Shall I just solder the spade connector to the PCB? Or, is there another method to re-attach?
Mark_Coleco #2 Posted July 26, 2011 you can easily soldier the wire to the board. One revision of there controllers does that.

Yurkie #4 Posted July 26, 2011 The connectors are absolute junk. I recommend cutting all of them off, stripping the wires and soldering them to the PCB.

Mark_Coleco #6 Posted July 26, 2011 coat the wire first by heating up the wire, then apply solder, coating the end of the wire, then put down the coil of solder and hold the wire with the solder already on it...you get the picture.... Yeah and Yurkie don't like those slip on connections, neither do it, they can fall off or give a bad connection.
r3tr0g4m3r #7 Posted July 26, 2011 Thanks - I just got the one connection back on. Man, I am one sloppy solderer... The controllers are a little sticky. I may be giving Yurkie a call soon.
