I really don't like Spike's Peak but it sounds like it gets easier after the first level so I will try again. Miss 2600 Posted August 5, 2011 Share Posted August 5, 2011 Ugh! I dreaded trying Spike's Peak after reading some of the horror stories. This game is frustrating in every way. Ducking, hiding, jumping, getting on the right road. It's too bad because I really like the graphics and, with better controls, the game play looks like it could be fun and unique. I managed to finally make it to the second screen (I know, pathetic). I'm not sure how much more I will be playing this one. 8,500 On a happier note, I kept getting 70 on Night Driver. Why is it such a pain in the ass to get in the doors and barrells? Why does he move so slooooooow? Why is level 2 pure luck? I'm skipping this game because I've never played a game that made me so angry. I get more enjoyment getting kicked in the balls. Yes It's worse than Shark Attack. Season 10, I think many people can hit the #1 spot including you oyama (you're still in range of season 9, especially your top 5 goal) Gorfy and Frostbite have been top notch and keeping it (robot tank/frontline), Toymailman's always dangerous (now a Mac-daddy danger), and Stan is working hard and scores are flying up (spikes peak now). Jifremok is back and very tough to beat, same with Deteacher, Vocelli, DT Kofoed, Scrabbler... etc etc! Should be a very cool and violent next season. Everyones gettin' better with time. Hoping to be back for season 10! I will, unless forces stop me. Thanks for the shout-out ! DJT Posted August 6, 2011 Share Posted August 6, 2011 Okay! Update to Night Driver: 70!!! I think I figured it out. On the difficulty we're playing, there is that one really tight hairpin turn with the house on the corner. If you play the track enough you can kinda *feel* when it's coming up. That's when I let off on the gas and begin to anticipate the sharp and narrow turn to the left. You can sometimes manage to pump the accelerator thru the turn and not lose too much time. With the Crypts score you just posted damn! Didn't expect it, I thought my 9ks would be almost unreachable... and you passed it! I gave Crypts another shot, yesterday... but I didn't like how it was going so I shut it off at 4ks. I'll try to give you a run for the money later tonight! Next season will probably be brutal competition, and game selection by Zero will pretty much decide who gets higher in the ranks, (anyones game). Ghost Manor is very cool game that comes with the horrible Spike's Peak. Crypts of Chaos is very bad too That came as a shock to me since I love most of the Fox games. Crypts of Chaos - 6,096 x 100 = 609,600 Submarine Commander - 1,710 x 100 = 171,000 Spike's Peak - 58,750 Night Driver - 67 x 2500 = 167,500 Combined score: 1,006,850 I went to 7800 HSC to try Galaga (Expert Mode), which is one of my favorite Arcade game.
