Amstari #1 Posted July 31, 2011 I know these are available from Best Electronics but is there anyone on Atari Age who has any to sell? I've got a Light Sixer that is have a strange video problem so I want to replace all three chips. You can read more about it here: Atari 2600 Strange Video Problem Although I'm in Australia it is a NTSC console so I would need the NTSC version of the TIA. zylon #2 Posted July 31, 2011 You'd likely only need the RIOT chip. The one closest to cart port. I believe that one is the same on PAL decks if you have one to try.

The only consoles I have for parts are Atari Jrs so I dont know how I well I will be able to remove the chips but I will give it a try.
zylon #4 Posted July 31, 2011 If you could find a 4sw or something down there cheap, you'd be in good shape. The cpu and i/o(riot) chips are the same for ntsc/pal.

Are the chips in a Vader in sockets? I've never opened one. More than half of vaders have socketed chips. The last run or 2 of vaders were soldered. Impossible to tell which without opening the deck.
