nathanallan
http://cybersmart.ru/indexru.html Scroll down a bit and you see the CyberSmart, it's a Mega Drive/Genesis clone that has a keyboard as an input device. The thing looks like it might be a cheap knockoff, sure, but the motherboard is what interests me. This seems to be the PlayPower of the Sega clones (PlayPower is a Famicom clone thing). From Russia, it's a kids' console meant for learning but it's available in English. Had to share, it's the first keyboard-enabled MD clone I have seen. Thanks MaximumRD!!!
Seob
Looks very cool. Do they make new educational software for it?
nathanallan
I looked at the video on the page, yes, there's some new software and there is one thing that looks really interesting: File Manager. This leads me to think that it can save stuff instead of just working with files (and saving a game file or just going over the same thing again ala arcade high scores). The video is in Russian, so all I had to go by is the images, but they did say "file manager." Yep, I want one. To me it looks like a hack project so bad. I can see a nice black keyboard with SEGA on the top. Now I am imagining things that aren't-- like ethernet and a disk drive for it I'd better stop. But I want one to just mess around with, maybe two in case I mess the one up.

tz101
Do the Mega Drive game carts plug into that pinkish slot at the back? If so, it doesn't look to be the correct shape and size for Genesis/MD game carts.

Rob, you were absolutely right! Thanks for the link, Groovy, looking now. If they are worth carrying, I might do a 'net store for them. Gotta get back in the saddle at some point.
Jimmy Yakapucci
I wonder what shipping is like for this site and what they accept as payment. They have what look to be some cool games there as well. Based on the rubles/dollars conversion, the games looked to be going for roughly $5.29 each. Just wish that I could read Russian. Time to look up my Russian friend and see if I can get a favor. JY

nathanallan
For some reason I cannot find it for sale anywhere else. There's a poster out and about that was posting about it in June, with a website that has a .tk ending, but it's gone now, expired. Still searching. murgatroid_79
So this is a Sega Teradrive!!! Very interesting computer. And dear. Here, comrade, connected SegaCD: https://zx-pk.ru/threads/26243-sega-teradrive.html
murgatroid_79
This "bachelor" I recently bought with it. The system cartridge is the same as on "Magistr16 + fdd." The ps / 2 mouse plugs into the joystick port ... The mouse comes with a ball ... comes in. I connected a newer optical through a makeshift passive adapter. CatPix
This is fun. Does it play Megadrive games well? I would like to get one for my collection of weird Russian stuff not as fancy as Soviet computers or Steepler Dendy console, but heh, MegaClones aren't that common compared to Famiclones; plus from what I'ce seen Famiclones only offer the BASIC cart when they come with a keyboard, they don't offer educationnal games. nathanallan
When I got notifications to this thread I thought it was a mistake, from 2011! I haven't seen many kids' computers out there like this, but I still do watch for them to pop up. I've never seen a CyberSmart in real life, only online, adn mostly back in 2011. murgatroid_79
I am glad that Topikstarter responded. I, too, have been looking for information on keyboard clones based on segs md for a very long time. And I found such information ... about six types of such consoles in the world. Watch on the Internet EZcom Realtec for example ... there is also little information about it, but I'm trying to contact the owner. I also have a Magic Teacher Computer GS-200N, at least under that name they are found in Russia. This gs-200n was shipped to the country from China, and the software was adapted for Russia ... not without a crooked translation. There, protection is also built in and the cartridge starts only on the gs-200n itself. On the Russian-language Internet there were five to ten references to this pc. I began to search and organize information and found this console. The cartridge dump was removed and the circuit analyzed. The mouse and keyboard turned out to be ps / 2. Then the "Russian hackers" hacked the ROM and now this ROM can be run on almost any clone of sega md. murgatroid_79
Edited November 24, 2019 by murgatroid_79

murgatroid_79
Now I do not have these consoles in my hands. But I am in the process of negotiations for the acquisition of two types: in the form of a laptop and in the form of a keyboard with a slot. murgatroid_79
52 minutes ago, CatPix said: How much does they cost? I'm dead curious about them The photo that I posted is from various online flea markets in Russia. "Avito" is one such flea market. The price ranges from 1000 rubles to 2500 rubles, depending on the configuration, cosmetic condition, the presence of a factory box, etc. I came across a couple of offers at a price of 500-700 rubles, but there either the console is faulty or the system cartridge is not available. Here you also need to add the cost of delivery, this is another 500-1000 rubles, depending on the distance (and we have great distances ) ... Another possible problem, some sellers do not want to contact the mail ... I do not even know how they will respond to the proposal to send abroad.
