What's a good offer for this?

Recommended Posts

Saw this on Craigslist. They are asking for offers. What would be a good offer for one of the consoles plus power cord?

Thanks!

EDIT: Is it even worth placing an offer?

He doesn't even bother to tell you if the systems are functional.

I would want to know they are functional first. If he gives you some spew that he can't test them because he doesn't have a way to test them then they are not worth much at all. The one with the white controllers means he just had extra controllers because those white ones are adam controllers. I would only give him 10 - 30 bucks for the whole lot unless he can prove they work when you go pick them up. Also only having 1 power brick means you would have to pay around 15 bucks for an extra one if you wanted a power brick per console. Cables to hook up to coax connection would cost you from 5 - 10 bucks. If they didn't work you could have people fix them and bring them back alive but it will cost you some money for that so you would need to get these things cheap to make up for it if you have to fix them.

Be very cautious. I mean the guy has the time to pull out two ColecoVisions, a Pepper cartridge, take two pictures and make a listing on Craigslist but can't find the time to search for the Power Supply???

If you decide to buy, low-ball an offer and bring an RF Cable and RF-Coax Adapter in order to be able to test the systems... if indeed he does find the Power Supply.

The Tan/Beige Hand Controllers did indeed come about due to the Coleco ADAM Computer and in fact at the end of the ColecoVision's life, Coleco did start packaging the system with these Tan/Beige controllers due to being out of the black controllers. They also included a little note explaining this as did American Design Components.

Good Luck.
