SlowCoder #1 Posted August 17, 2011 The Colecovision and Intellivision both had expansion ports that allowed their 2600 expansion units to work. Apparently this was due to pass-through pins on the ports that sent the AV signal directly to the RF converter. Are the same type of pins available on NES, SNES or N64, or other cart-based consoles? If someone were to design a 2600 that fit inside a NES cart, for instance, could 2600 games then be played on NES?
Rex Dart #2 Posted August 17, 2011 Probably could be done on all of those, yeah. Didn't the Super Gameboy work in a similar way? And people have made/hacked similar devices for the NES and the N64 already.

Rikkarr #4 Posted August 17, 2011 Probably could work in some way. It's my understanding that the 5200's A2600 adapter kind of worked like that.
