I have 2:

NTSC

S/N: 37132M

Sunnyvale

Me: Lana, New Jersey, USA

A/B Channel Slot: Yes

A/B Channel Switch: Yes (but it's bent out of position, off to the side of the slot)

Functional: Yes, this is my #2 Heavy Sixer for playing games

Refurbished: I don't think so (no label)

Manufacture Date: March 13 (can't read year, assume '77?)

Notes: This one's a little worn, but intact. The later carts fit kinda tight in this one.

NTSC

TELEGAMES Unit

MFD for Sears Roebuck and Co.

S/N: 37292T

Sunnyvale

Me: Lana, New Jersey, USA

A/B Channel Slot: No

A/B Channel Switch: Not sure, I haven't opened the case.

Functional: Yes, this is my #1 Heavy Sixer for playing games and showing friends

Refurbished: I don't think so (no label)

Manufacture Date: Not on the label

Additional Label: "STOP - DO NOT ATTEMPT GAME REPAIR. THERE ARE NO USER ADJUSTABLE PARTS INSIDE..."

Notes: This one really rocks. It's in good shape and there's something about the vibe it gives that makes the games seem better. Friends laugh at me, but they do agree!

My 1979 Light Sixer should get special mention. It's been with me 31 years and still works fine!

Hmm...I guess I could just post updated files along the way, since the updated files will be dated the current update. I just didn't want to 'flood' this post with updates. In that case I'll update every month or every page which ever comes first.

I'll also make note for everyone to look at the first post to copy and paste the worksheet since I will only post an updated spreadsheet.

Would that sound good to everyone?

If you subscribed you can edit up to 30 days but I don't know how to do it forever. You could ask CPUWIZ? If I were you I would prefer to have my updates after the posts anyway. That way people can clearly see how many you still need to update.

Not mine: someone has this in Lapeer, MI. May have been repaired by Atari service as it had switch slot that looks like one slat was broken off. The internal board may not be original but I didn't have a chance to take it apart or plug it in. Serial number is crazy low.

NTSC

Serial #: 0003165

MFG Location: Taiwan

(Owner/AA Member), (Location= City, State, Country): a friend, Lapeer, MI 48446

A/B Channel Slot: yes

A/B Channel Switch: Yes

Functional: ?

EDIT: attached picture was flipped upside down somehow, fixed

  • 3 weeks later...

IIRC there has been one or a few in the list that the person said it defaulted to chan. 4 but I believe the actual unit NEVER defaulted to chan. 4...chan. 3 was always set to default. It must have been their type of TV they were using? :ponder:

Also bringing my list back on track: Al has changed my settings so I can constantly update post #1 with the latest spreadsheet. So from here on out look at post #1 for the latest updated spreadsheet.

I will also post an updated spreadsheet either today or tomorrow depending on how time goes.

Thanks all!

I don't mean to sidetrack this thread, but I do think I have a question that's related to it. I asked this question in another thread, but perhaps this is the better forum for it:

Does anyone have a Sunnyvale Heavy Sixer that (1) has no channel slot or switch and (2) defaults to Channel 4?

Here's mine...

NTSC/PAL/Sears/Special: NTSC

Serial #: 36430M

Mfg. Location: Sunnyvale

Owner: Me, Cleveland, TN, USA

A/B Channel Slot: Yes

A/B Channel Switch: No (is this normal...?)

Functional: Yes...and it's spectacular :) .

Additional info: There's a number (209) stamped into the bottom a bit above the label where the serial number is...I dunno if that's of any use, but it might come in handy :) . Previous owner: someone likely local to Dalton, GA. I bought it at Big D Flea Market for $5 about 3 years ago. Also, white sticker...or it would be, if not for the aging present...

List updated...Schizophretard: Sounds good bro! :)

I'm also wanting to refurbish them all first, so the functional question will be a definite yes.

Tell me if you think this is a good idea because this is what I'm thinking about doing. When I refurbish them I want to laminate the bottom labels. I don't want to do it in a way that is permanent but put a piece of plastic over the label and laminate that down, so if I take the lamination off it wouldn't destroy the label. That's something I'm doing for sure but it made me think of doing this also. I'm wanting to do something similar to any papers found in it by laminating them to the bottom. Also, I want to either make a list of what is in it like revision numbers... or take tiny pictures and laminate those to the bottom. I wanting to make it so that all I have to do is look at the bottom to know everything that is inside. Does that make sense?

I don't mean laminating the labels but putting clear plastic over the labels and then laminating the plastic, so if you took the lamination off it wouldn't tear the labels.

Maybe something like a "Packing Slip Pocket" would work. Thos clear plastic rectangles with adhesive only on the surrounding edge, so the center part is protected, but not adhered to. Something like this.
