Zyrother
Edit to my previous post. Upon further inspection, mine has another sticker underneath. Both white. Does this mean its not a Heavy Sixer then? Any information would be extremely helpful. Thanks
Zyrother
Edit to my previous post. Upon further inspection, mine has another sticker underneath. Both white. Does this mean its not a Heavy Sixer then? Any information would be extremely helpful. Thanks Guess I cant edit my other post... Anyway. As you can see from the photos, I cracked her open again, and took some photos. The date code on the RF Modulator is 7730. (30th week of 1977?). And the code on the bottom of the board is C010642 Rev5. With the "Rev 5" directly beneath the number. Tan board, with J stamped on it. So, is this a very late Heavy Sixer then? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Edited October 13, 2014 by Zyrother

The power switch needed cleaning and repair. There was what appeared as a botched repair attempt and a crude stranded wire was used as a jumper to short the regulator output to ground !! Main filter cap was tested and within tolerance. Voltage regulator output is at 5.073 Volts. I have not decided if I am going to keep or sell this young lady. If I sell, I will offer the option of adding the SVideo and Pause mods. I add the mods in such a way that they are completely reversable and the unit can be returned to original condition. 2Supra4U
Hello, In a bit of a retro phase, thinking about playing atari when I was young (30). I realized I had a coleco gemini. Its long gone, anyways I decided to get an atari. I decided to try and get a heavy sixer basically because it was the original model. Managed to get one off ebay. I had no idea about the market price for one. I got one for 100us. Which I figure to be fair. Was Just the console only. Untested. serial 15223N. I figured being able to get a low serial would be a good option if I can get one. I was in on a few but I ended up with this one. Although its untested, it looks in pretty decent shape. Only a few blemishes on it. The insides look good, nothing looks damaged or burned out. I will update the worsheet once I test once I know it works, ac adapter coming in the next day or two. LOL I bought a heavy 6 and a 4 switch and I thought the one had an adapter (it had like 8 joysticks and 5 paddles)....neither did NTSC Serial # 15223NMFG Location - Sunnyvale, CAOwner: 2Supra4U, Toronto, Ontario, CanadaA/B Channel Slot: YES A/B Channel Switch: NO Functional: UNKNOWN

mtshark7
Zyrother: Yes your unit is a 2 sticker unit. It is indeed a heavy 6-switch 2600.2Supra4U: Give me an update when you can so I can update my spreadsheet.SumerNivek: The channel switch allowed you to change between channel 2 and 3. Some models did and some models didn't have this feature. Can you provide pics of your unit?List updated! :-)Along with my Heavy 6 switch I repaired for my friends game store...pics to follow.
Zyrother
Thanks for the updated list! This has probably been discussed elsewhere, but can anyone definitively answer as to why some units have two stickers and others dont? Every forum on multiple websites I have read through, everyone seems to be stumped. Also strange that no Atari employee has come forward with information regarding it. My theory is that is has something to do with the transition between the Heavy Six production and Light Six production. Looking forward to more great stories and photos from this awesome community! On an unrelated note, picked up a Atari Jaguar with some CIB games. Really enjoy the system!
