Emehr #2 Posted August 18, 2011 The term 'hack' is really starting to lose its meaning.
StoneAgeGamer #3 Posted August 18, 2011 The term 'hack' is really starting to lose its meaning. Lol yeah considering that MS did or is planning to release the SDK for Kinect for the PC. I believe their Robotics Studio now has Kinect support as well.
Rex Dart #4 Posted August 18, 2011 So wait... you're telling me a game controller was hacked to play games? Surely this is some sort of witchcraft....
0078265317 #5 Posted August 18, 2011 So wait... you're telling me a game controller was hacked to play games? Surely this is some sort of witchcraft.... It's not just any controller. And kinnect is a camera not really a controller is it? Anyhow it's what they made it do that is so neat. Play such an old game. That would of been so cool in the 80's. And kinnect is a camera not really a controller is it? Anyhow it's what they made it do that is so neat. Play such an old game. That would have been so cool in the 80's. It's a camera designed to be used as a game controller. They've used it... to control a game. Really, there's been far cooler stuff done with the Kinect than feeding a game left/right/jump info. bomberpunk #7 Posted August 18, 2011 that's not neat. that's stupid. did you not see how much trouble that guy is having?
0078265317 #8 Posted August 18, 2011 that's not neat. that's stupid. did you not see how much trouble that guy is having? Now maybe but back in the 80s would of been cool.
Rex Dart #9 Posted August 18, 2011 that's not neat. that's stupid. did you not see how much trouble that guy is having? Now maybe but back in the 80s would have been cool. We had the U-Force back then and it was stupid, too.

We had the U-Force back then and it was stupid, too. Because it never worked right. Uforce was a design flaw.
mtshark7 #11 Posted August 18, 2011 (edited) What was U-force? EDIT: Nevermind these explain it all lol: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U-Force Edited August 18, 2011 by Mark T
Rex Dart #12 Posted August 18, 2011 Hah, who told you that? It worked exactly as it was designed to work. It was just a lame idea.
+FujiSkunk #13 Posted August 18, 2011 It's not a hack, but it's still a novel concept and it made for a neat demonstration. Lighten up, all you Francises.
keilbaca #14 Posted August 18, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDlBWTvztoU This was more impressive than that.
0078265317 #16 Posted August 19, 2011 Hah, who told you that? It worked exactly as it was designed to work. It was just a lame idea. One mans trash is another mans treasure. Just because you thought it was lame doesn't mean everyone thought the same.
PsychoKittyNet #18 Posted August 22, 2011 Kind of cool, from the "because I can" perspective, not really practical though. Motion controls are ok, but I still prefer a controller.
