youki #26 Posted August 24, 2011 Will there be a savegame functionality in the cartridge? I hope so, because few people today have the time to play an extended chess match against a computer (or a human friend for that matter). No, there will not have save feature, sorry I've got a GameBoy Chess game, where if you want to save the game, it encodes the current status into a fairly long string of letters. Something like that might be able to work, if there's space available. That's an excellent idea! I'll talk about this with the programer of the game since we have some space left We'll also implement a 2-Player mode too It is exactly the same method i planned to implement for saving in my next game. SoulBlazer #27 Posted August 24, 2011 It's too bad the person doing this wants to remain secret. I never understood that. What could he/she possibly be afraid of by attaching a username to the project? Game looks good, BTW. I still play Chessmaster in all it's forms and it plays a mean game of chess. 65Gamerguy #28 Posted August 29, 2011 Hi everyone Just to let you know that Chess Challenger is coming in 2012 !! Who said it won't be possible to make a Chess game on CV? Anyway, that's one of the sweet project coming for the CV 30th Anniversary This game was made from scratch, so a "completely" original game based on the unreleased game showed in the silver catalog Here's a screenshot of the game Wow! Looks pretty awesome. I can see now where all of the money I work overtime is going to be spent in the next few months if not longer.

I'm also looking forward abot a chess game for the ColecoVision. I was sure PkK was making one after what he wrote int he forums here, but I've no clue who can be the programmer behind this version. Anyway, I see that there is a "demo" mode which I suppose make ColecoVision play againts himself. Does that mean this program can actually play either side? white or black? Is there a setting for time limit per move too? or it's just difficulty level?
