it was one of the german "De Re Atari" right next to "Atari intern" and was written by professional coders.

No matter that it's in German and I don't understand a word of it... much of it can be intuited and the diagrams and pinouts alone are invaluable. Really good stuff.

It was a "real" book, that has recently been enhanced and improved by some members of the ABBUC. It's available in PDF form or (if you're an ABBUC member) as a real book again. These rules (books only for members) weren't made up by the ABBUC, but by the original copyright holders.

You don't get the book, you have to get it.

 

It costs € 12,50, so it's not the gift we sometimes get. GoodbyteXL let the project and you had to (pre)order this book before he had them made. Not sure if he still has some left.

Shame there isn't a version in English, there again i do remember some of the people behind abbucc getting upset about people adapting some of abbuccs texts or programs into english some time back (so i guess we won't be seeing an english version after all)
